So i posted a journal in the blog section but that gets zero activity so i thought id repost in the grow journal forum section lol.

Im growing 4 cream of the crop "purple paralysis" in a 4x4 grow tent. I started them in 3 gallon pots of coco/perlite mix. Im feeding canna a&b, cannazyme, rhizotonic, and cal-mag and im running a 600w mh light.

after week 5 in veg i transplanted to 7 gallon pots, topped, and dropped the ScrOG in. unfortunately 3 of my stems cracked while doing this.

two of the stems that healed up:

this is right before i flipped over to 12/12 week 8.

i think leaving my fan on the bottom caused white powdery mildew so i sprayed with sm-90 last night before the flip hopefully that and getting a few clip on fans for above the canopy will help.

Subbed :)
Looking good in there bro, I like coco/perlite, it seems to give just the right amount of moisture retention and o2 to the roots :)
How do you manage the run off once they start getting bigger, will you still be able to empty the saucers?

Thanks! i dont really have anything to compare to considering this is my first grow but ive loved coco so far, ill probably stick with it for a while. Since i put a shit ton of stress on em when i cracked a few stems i dont want to pick em up to get runoff and risk doing it again so ive just been using turkey basters and wiping away the extra at the bottom. Its a pain in the ass but its working i guess lol im def investing in a flood table for next grow tho. lol

I wanted to try scrog but i couldn't be bothered with using a sponge or turkey baster to cope with run off so i mainlined them :)
Later on I made some shelves from some universal oven shelving to lift my pots up so next run i can try a screen and see how that works out :)

I havent heard of mainlining until now but it seems very interesting deff worth a shot.
As for the oven rack idea, i may be ditching my turkey basters after today lol. Its so
simple i shoulda thought of something like that before lol. i appreciate the help, your
grow looks awsome btw. You should scrog on your next grow, adding the screen to the
mainlining you're already doing would deff make for some nicee plants.

Yeah i know, i actually got the idea from FuckJeffGoldbloom in this post https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/731275-fjgs-hempy-main-lined-grow-14.html#post9803331

He also gave me this link for them http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013GAP8M/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but as i'm in UK p&p was too expensive and thats when i had the idea for oven shelves :D

Okay so the lights have flipped! I took your advice reddiamond. I found two shoe racks laying around and they happened to be the right size. I took the scrog out then put the stand in with the plants on it and dropped the scrog back on. Its 10000 times better than before. It took me 1/3 of the time i usually take to water lol thanks for the idea!

also for collecting the runnoff... My friend uses a wet dry vac and attaches small tubes to the hose. he puts a tube into each pan and it works great. wet dry vacs costs like 25 dollars at home depot.

Those are some really nice looking plants! I'm liking your guys idea with the stands. I used to do the fan cage like above. But my plants were in smaller pots but it worked well. Happy growing!

thats a good idea if i had more plants i would try the wet dry vac. and im pretty sure my hps is running hotter but i live in the northeast U.S so the temps have been dropping outside it kind of balances out the heat lol

So the plants are still stretching but I got very worried about the white powdery mold on one of the plants. All four plants were REALLY bushy, I sprayed sm-90 twice and it definitely cleared up any mold that was easily seen, but as i looked inside i still found some mildew on some leafs. So, in an attempt to create some decent airflow, and make room for the growing shoots... I stripped these bitches :)

Ive read up alot on pruning and defoliation, and while I don't think its the best idea in all scenarios... these ladies were getting outta control lol.

This is the beginning of week 3 flower. There's little buds all over, The screen filled up really nice IMO but then again this is my first grow lol I think I may train them one more time then leave them to grow from there but ill see in the next few days. There's still pm on the back plant just waiting on some jms stylet oil, hopefully that'll take care of it.

That screen filled in just right imo, you've got about 1 week of stretch left so if you want to do extra training then it needs to be now mate :)

ScrOG's a bit uneven but i guess it'll have to do. 4 or 5 branches stretched out a bit more than expected o.o but i guess that'll just mean 4 or 5 fatter colas :bigjoint:
