First Grow 400w MH/HPS Amnesia Clone/Mystery Seeds Soil

Hey all. Started my first grow about 3 weeks ago, thought that I'd start a journal on here. I made a thread for this grow in the plant problems forum, if you want to catch up you can read it here. https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/598096-first-grow-problems.html

I have a 4'x4'x6.5' Grn Elements tent, 400w MH(and a 400w HPS for flowering) with a dimmable ballast, cool tube reflector, 19in. carbon filter, inline fan, etc. I'm using GH Flora series nutes. They have been on 18/6 for the last week or so, prior to that I had them on 24/0. Temp goes between 70F and 85F, usually around 78-80, and the humidity bounces between 45%RH and 55%RH

This is how they looked yesterday. I had one plant per pot in the right tub and two plants per pot in the left tub for a total of 6 plants. I got the seeds for these plants from a friend, and he told me that they are Sour Diesel. Looking at the plants now, I think that those leaves are a little fat to be a sativa-dominant strain like Sour D.

This is how they look at the moment. I gave all the plants their own pots and my grandpa brought home an Amnesia clone from the club.

Today I finally picked up GH pH Up and Down and litmus strips, and found out the water that I've been giving my babies since seed has been pH 7.6.
Gave the mystery plants a healthy dose of pH 6.4 nutes: 4ml Floragrow, 3ml Floramicro, and a drop of Florabloom per gallon. Watered the soil in the clone's pot with pH 6.4 before planting the rockwool cube in it, then misted the rockwool with a spray bottle full of pH 6.4, didn't give the clone any nutes today, going to give it 2ml-1ml-0ml next time I water it.

When I woke up this morning the plant in the back right had several spots on her leaves, might have been stress signs from the rough transplant I performed on her 2 days ago(she was sharing a pot with another plant) when I accidentally ripped a few small roots. I trimmed the bad leaves and give her some nutes, she seems to have perked up a little bit in the last few hours.

And heres a bonus picture of the beautiful clone before I put it in the pot.

Gramps is picking up a couple more clones tomorrow, can't wait. :)

I'll post updates every couple of days or if something of interest happens. If you have any advice/suggestions, please tell me, this is my first time and I'm open to all the help I can get. Have a good day, everyone.

Hey guys.

This is how they look right now.

Do you guys think I should adjust how high the light is from the top of the plants?

Gramps picked up two more Amnesia clones

Temp and humidity have been staying pretty constant. 76F with the light on, 65F with the light off, 40%RH

I've been seeing more and more little spots on several plants leaves. Worried that it might be mite bites, I swear I keep seeing little black specks on the leaves.. What do you guys think? If they are mite bites, can I use a gallon of water with 2 drops of dish soap in a spray-bottle as a pesticide? Also, how can I prevent future mite infestations?

The plant that I transplant-shocked seems to be doing okay-ish. Isn't getting any better, doesn't seem to be getting worse.

I hope to get some feedback soon.

I kept my hps around 12-14 inch away in veg, and went to 10-12 area in flowering. I had some yellow spots like that but mine were on the edge of the leaves, I gave them some cal-mag plus and it fixed mine. Another reason I had yellow spots was splash burn, I learned to be more careful when feeding. I'm just starting myself so this is a limited knowledge answer, hope it helps !

Happy day after the apocalypse, everybody!
I'll start, as usual, with a family picture.

I accidentally gave some of the strong nutes to one of the clones while I was feeding the mystery plants. :( Found nute burn this morning.

And I found another spot on a different clone. It couldn't be nute burn, I haven't given it any nutrients yet.

This one is just big and healthy and luscious and awesome.

The plant that I transplant-shocked is making a slow but certain recovery. I've definitely noticed a difference in the last couple of days.

The outer edges of the leaves on most of the plants are starting to curl up just a little bit.

Keep finding more small yellow spots.

Topped a plant for the first time just now. Decided to use the sickly plant as my guinea pig. Did I do it right?

The plants are growing a lot faster than I expected them to. I'm going to have to transplant them into larger pots either today or tomorrow because I see roots poking out of the drainage holes in the bottom of the current pots.

How much longer should I keep them in veg?

Hey guys. Hope you all had a good holiday. :) My family got me a shiny new reflector, digital pH pen, fan, and some other goodies for Christmas. They know me too well. :P

I just moved all of the plants into bigger pots a couple of hours ago. Should have done it earlier, I had no idea how quickly roots grow :O

Accidentally snapped a leaf when I was topping one of my plants. Pretty.

Just got one of those tightvac stash jars. This thing is sweet.

Hey guys.

Almost all of the from-seed plants were overdosed on nitrogen. I gave them nutrient-free water for the last 4-5 days, and today I gave them low-nutrient water. They've gotten a lot better.

My tent has developed a gnat problem, and I think it might have spider mites too. I've been spraying the plants with slightly soapy water for the past few days and the spider mite symptoms have started to die down, but the gnats are getting worse. I'm going to go pick up some diatomaceous earth today to kill them.

Some of the older leaves are starting to get what looks like rust spots. Not really sure what to do about that, I just cut off the rusty leaves as soon as I see them. Going to switch to 12/12 in the next couple of days.

Any recommendations for bud boosters?

Within a couple hours of putting the ladybugs into the tent, ALL of them started mating. Some were having threesomes. Not sure how much I like the idea of having ladybug love-juice all over my plants.

Switched to the HPS bulb and set the timer to 12/12.

I think the back-right plant's roots have outgrown the pot already.

Day 5 of 12/12.
Trying to figure out the sex of my plants right now. Is this one male or female? I think it's male.

Here's a group shot from this morning.

5 out of 6 of my from-seed plants were male. Made some QWIso hash out of them. Pretty weak hash, as I expected.

I have one plant and three clones left. Flowers are coming along nicely.
