Just wanted to share some pics from the first two plants i'm harvesting. I used a Mother Keeper tent from HTG, many CFLs, 800 watts or something, HTG filter fan combo, FF nutes - GB, BB, TB, some Beastie Bloom, tried some Budswell powder making guana tea, molasses. Unknown strain acquired from friend over a year ago. Had some issues, being in an attic was one - began in mid -late February, had cooler temps during veg, and began dealing with heat issues in April. Had a little bit of everything. Hermies, check. The pic of the clay colored pot is one of the two hermies. First one was killed, but they both had nicely formed flowers when they hermied, though one had more nanners than i cared to attempt to remove. I have still found a nanner or two on the one i kept, i've found nanners with a pistil growing from them actually. Twice. I believe there may have been another pod burst which was why i harvested - i saw some begginings of seeds forming in the calyxes, so i harvested. There are not many seeds, mainly the one plant was pollinated mostly lower branches.
Smaller pots than recommended, less than ideal growing conditions, but lots of light and lots of attention. I had to water daily, i really had to baby these, and the next time around i will likely try bigger pots, but i can attest that it can succeed. I also have 3 plants currently in party cups, one clear, and they're all, well, 2/3 are thriving, i think i had some roots got root rot and i clipped a lot of them, and lost most leaves on one, but i'll get an 1/8 the 1/4 despite. I also found a nice little surprise when i removed the pot from the soil. Can anyone tell me if they've found an earthworm living in their soil? I used castings, coir, soil, perlite, vermiculte. I freaked out at first, before realizing it was just an earthworm. Would it have done any damage? I know it would have been replenishing my worm castings supply already in the pot, but i wonder if it is eating anything that my plant would've needed had i let it go longer. I think they were both done though. They flowered for over 9 weeks, 9 from 12/12 just over 8 from first sign of preflowers, which i spotted only a few days after switching to 12/12.
I'm pretty excited. I lost a connection for my smoke, so decided to delay my gratification for 4 months in exchange for not needing to find another one. I now must try to keep the temps in my tent down so they don't dry too fast. Today they're saying it's 100. Have AC in attic, but it can only do so much. Thank god the lights are no longer all on. Any recommendations are welcome!
THanks
