This would be my second grow. The first grow I did was years back and it was with soil. I decided just to go all out and jump into DWC hydroponics. Why not give it a whirl; feeling confident I can tackle the project. Well, let's get right into my supplies:

- 3x3x7 Gorilla grow tent

- 800w California lightworks LED w/ UVB

- 20 pound Co2 tank

- Grozone Co2 controller

- Hydroponics flow meter

- Dutchmasters nutrients ( grow a/b, flower a/b, add.27 grow/flower, silica, liquid light, saturator )

- Hydrologic stealth Ro 100 reverse osmosis system

- HM Digital TDS-4TM ppm meter

- Oakton Ecotestr pH 2 ph meter

- Two 7-inch fans

- Ecoplus commercial air pump 3

- Four 5 1/4 inch micro-pore diffusers

- Four 5 gallon buckets w/ 8 inch net pots

- Hydroton

- Portable air cooler

- pH up, pH down, cal/mag

The strain is from Devils Harvest Seeds called Shoreline. Once it gets to about 5-6 nodes, I will be doing Uncle Ben's topping technique on all of the babies. Please guys, I don't need anyone telling me that I'm doing too much for my second grow and that I need to slow down. I'm a risk taker, and that's why my girlfriend loves me

Anyway, I hope you guys can join me in this. Done my fair share of research but I'm going to be needing some backup, so any constructive criticism will be welcomed................except for telling me to slow down.

Thanks and enjoy.

DAY 1-

My seeds have been in between wet paper towels for 24 hours and the baby roots are out. I have soaked my rockwool cubes in 5.7 pH water overnight. Shook out excess water and carefully put the seeds in the rockwool. They are now in a little humidity tray ( normal fruit tray ) and I'm waiting for them to pop up to start giving them light.

DAY 2-

Well my babies spent the night in the rockwool inside the "humidity dome" overnight. They began to pop out the rockwool so I put them under some CFL's. I put them inside the tent with the tent open under the LED but since I don't have an inline fan to suck the hot air out, it got to about 88 degrees inside there. Too hot for the little ones, but they were only in there for 20 mins. Here are some pics.

DAY 3-

Well everyone has been under the CFLs 24 hours a day. All of them are looking good except one. I had to manually remove the shell husk ( carefully might I add ). It hasn't been a full day yet since I just removed it earlier this morning but i'm playing the "better safe than sorry card" in case this little guy doesn't make it. Germinating the other shoreline seed as we speak. Hopefully he pulls through but just in case he doesn't I don't want the fourth plant to be too far behind. Haven't had to water the rockwool cubes at all; still pretty wet. Some roots are showing on the bottom of them already too. Lets see what tomorrow brings.

Temp is a constant 79 degrees and the humidity is at 55%

DAY 4-

Little ones are looking great. Seems like they've grown in inch since yesterday. That straggler is not looking too good though. Basically been about 2 days and still no improvement in that one. I checked the backup seed in between the towels and no sign of a baby root yet. Been a day and a half since I put that in between the paper towels. The first four seeds I germinated came out with roots a lot faster than this one. Hopefully THIS seed isn't a dud put I shouldn't be so pessimistic since it hasn't even been 2 days yet.

Temps for the sprouts are still around 80 degrees with 52% humidity

DAY 5-

Still chugging along. I don't think that fourth sprout is going to make it. I have seen no improvement whatsoever in that little guy. R.I.P.

Thankfully the other seed germinated like a charm and I just put him in the rockwool cube right now.
