Just got my 8 seeds in today. Starting this thread as a reminder of when I started germination and will update throughout this grow. This will be my second "real" grow. The plan for this grow is to set in motion a perpetual grow with these 4 strains. Each plant will have 2 clones taken from them before flowering which will be rooted in a DIY DWC rooting machine and used for the next grow.

Strains for this grow are:
  • Nirvana AK48
  • Nirvana Wonder Woman
  • Nirvana Master Kush
  • Nirvana Super Skunk

My room specs are:

Veg Tent
  • 30"x30"x60" tent
  • (seedlings) 2xT5 lamp for seedlings in 1.5" rockwool cubes
  • (vegging) 1x300w Viparspectra LED
  • (vegging) 2x4 site rubbermaid DWC with 3" net pots
  • Alita AL-15 pump
  • 2 x 4" round air disks in each tub
Flower Room
  • 2'x4'x8' closet
  • 450CFM exhaust fan (6" duct) in the attic pushing through a 6" carbon filter
  • 2x600w Viparspectra LED
  • 2x4 site rubbermaid DWC with 3" net pots
  • Alita AL-15 pump
  • 2 x 4" round air disks in each tub
Nutrients
  • Fox Farm Big Bloom
  • Fox Farm Grow Big Hydro
  • Fox Farm Tiger Bloom
  • Fox Farm Kangaroots
  • Fox Farm Microbe Brew
  • Fox Farm Open Sesame
  • Fox Farm Beastie Bloomz
  • Fox Farm Cha-Ching
  • Botanicare Hydroguard
  • Superthrive
  • Mammoth-P Bloom Booster

The germination of seeds was started on 11/27/2016 at noon using a paper towel that was dampened with tap water PH balanced to 6.0. .25ml of superthrive was added to the solution and each set of seeds was placed in a ziplock bag inflated with fresh air on top of a germination mat.

24 hours after seed germination began, 5 of 8 seeds have germinated and are in rockwool cubes. The other 3 seeds are close to popping and should be in rockwool by the end of the day.

As of 5pm 11/28/2016 all 8 seeds successfully germinated and are in rockwool starter cubes. The cubes were soaked with PH 5.5 tap water at a PPM of 155 before the addition of 2 drops of superthrive and 1ml of hydroguard.

As of 5pm 11/29/2016 3 of the seeds had sprouted in the rockwool. Will update with pics tomorrow.

As of 12/10/2016, 7 of the seeds have made it to transplant. I hanged to a 1000w HPS in the flowering room, and while the temperatures are consistently in the mid 70s to low 80s in it, I realized that I would have trouble with keeping the reservoir temperatures down this run. So this grow will be in coco coir.

The coco coir is General Hydroponics cocotek mixed with hydroton with a layer of hydroton at the bottom of the pots. The coco was hydrated from brick with a mild nutrient solution.
