First Bud

I'll harvest my first plants in a few days but yesterday I took one bud as I want to experience it's different effects (milky trichomes/psicoactive effects vs amber trichomes/couchlock effect). I took only one bud, manicured it and put it to dry inside my closet. It has no ventilation but I open it several times to ventilate the place.
The thing is... yesterday it was solid like a rock and today it is pretty soft, so easy to bend that the little bit of leaf stem I left there to help me hang it won't no longer do it.
Is this supposed to happen? This is my first grow ever so I'm a bit scared I might have fucked up anything now.

One last thing, is it ok if I put it drying at the end of my exhaust tube (from the grow room) in total darkness? At least when the lights are off?

Cheers!

I'm taking a guess in thinking that the poor air flow in the closet has something to do with it. I'm not sure about using your grow room exhaust since it's expelling possible warm/hot/humid air. Try checking the harvesting/curing section. Good luck.

Thought that also. Anyway, today I'm going to harvest two of the plants and then I'll put a fan ventilating them as they dry. Thanks for your answer mate! Cheers!

It's losing hydration, which is what you're looking for. Water is pretty much what provides support for the whole plant, so take that away, and you end up with a floppy plant. Well, til it's all the way dried, anyway.lol
