First big grow any input

ok I'm gonna start my first big grow and I would like y'all input on the system I'm using

It's going to be a Sog grow 50 plants from fem seeds in 50 1 gallon grow bags 5x5x7 grow tent 600watt hps 2 800watt led lights happy frog soil and fox farm trio nutrients plan on vegging for 24/0 until plants are between 8 and 12 inches then put into flowering 12/12 all input welcome let me know if something doesn't sound right Thanks

yah that u think 50 plants in 1 gallon planters is a good thing
sorry do not to be a ass but u are really new if u think that is going to be worth it

ok crash course in Yield management
1 the size of the roots is directly linked to amount and size of the plant
2 the size of the planter dictates how much water retention u have (1 gallon of soil u are looking at less them a 1000 mls of water ....less then a quart of water )
3 the amount of water the plant has access increase the thickness there for the weight of what u are going to make (why hydro makes more then soil )

1 gallon bags really are not worth growing as they are only going to get u 1/2 oz at best 14 grams dried more like 10 grams realistically.

the size of your area is bad for the amount of plants u want to run .......really 50 plant scrog done right would be huge .......honestly if u want u could make 1 plant fit your whole 5x5x7 tent (if u are running photo plants ) your looking at 10/16 weeks of veggie to train and fill in the screen and 10/12 weeks of flowering in a 15 gallon planter using a organic feed ........would be between 1 and half 2 lbs for u ......give yourself a few grows and can be much higher 6 10 lbs once u figure out to feed and water in soil

as u are new i would not start on hydro .......it requires more gear more technical work and less forgiving (u make a mistake to long wreck the whole harvest)

the feed u have is only part of a set
u need to get the whole feed program and fallow it

the next part is ........this is a chemical based system ......this requires u to flush the soil to remove salt build up around the roots (leaving it effects the plant results u will not like) .....to flush u need to send 3 times the amount of soil so 1 gallon would be 3 gallons of water poured tho and drained off (with a scrog this is not possible unless u build something )

again the build up must be removed from the soil other wise your plant suffers and the smoke taste off

your lighting power i like it ........over kill to the max but worth running the experiment (hid is great for area of coverage and led is great for depth of light penetration) your getting best of both

when u set up the light make sure the 600w watt is in the dead center and angle the leds in slightly off the edges

I'm not growing scrog method I'm growing Sog method sea of green using this method I should be able to put 80 plants in 5x5 tent and far as for the 1 gallon planters I read that since the plant really isn't going to grow over 2 feet that they would be fine but I don't mind using two gallon bags but the rule of thumb for Sog method is 4 plants per 1sq foot so 5x5 = 25sq feet that's 100 plants this is a pic of the method I'm going to try

Sound like a good plan. Ideally sog uses clones, do you plan on setting up a mother/clone room? If You plan to hand water 50 plus plants I would leave some room in the tent to work.

Maybe in the future but for now just plan on growing from seeds I figure 50 plants should fit comfortably in a 5x5 with room to work since the rule of thumb for Sog is 4 plants per sq foot and I'm only using 2 plants per sq foot
