20 Heavyweight Fast and Vast seeds. Plan to veg indoors for about 2 weeks till weather is nice and will be transplanted outdoors in 2 or 3g pots.
Germed in cup of water. 20/20 seeds sprouted in 48 hours. Moved to paper towel for 24 hours till roots atleast 1/2" long. Then planted them in 10 ounce foam cups. Sprouted 2 days later on 3/5/2016.
Were vegged under a 1000w hps shaded under my other 4 big plants. They stretched quit a bit. So i brought them in and put them under my 216w t5 for 3 days now unset 24/0 Stem a little soft so i had to prop then up at bit
Gave them 1/4 strength voodoo juice and rhino skin and b-52 yesterday. Another week of veg before nutrients.

Any advice for my first autoflower grow?
Pictures are today 3/14/16
Day 10 since sprouted through soil.

yeah adjust your lights, if they are CFL they need to be around 2inches from the canopies, also an oscillating fan will help strengthen those stems from now

Day 11. Thanks guys! Super excited! This is my first time growing seeds. And the fact that theyre autoflower is amazing. Its hard to tell, but there is a fan. On low speed and fan aiming off wall, the fan is still pretty strong so thats why i had to leave my babies in the Corona box to protect them a bit. But it still creates air circulation.

My lighting is 216w 4ft 4bulb t5 Agrobrite. Just lowered the lights from about 7inches to about 4ish inch for now.

One tip I haven't seen yet, plant directly to the final pot after the seeds crack open.
I soak mine in a cup of tap water till they sink, then plant them. Saves the stress of a transplant.

These are an outdoor door. Unfortunately the weather was really bad the last two weeks, so i ended up starting indoor in small cups. Next grow will definitely be in main pot.

just to elaborate on dgthumbs post, just some counter-ciews i suppose.
Some people rather to plant to final pot but the roots take longer to fill the pot and you dont get the same root developmental, i like to use 2 replants.
So once the seeds are ready to be planted i use a plastic tumbler cup the seethrough ones, idk perhaps 500ml.
Then when the roots are full i move into a 7.5lt pot then when thats full i move to 15l pots.
Not saying he is wrong its all personal preference really, ive just never really suffered with transplant shock.

I like the point you raise about the root development, that did and does cross my mind when I start a grow. I got some of the Carl Pool Root Activator solution to help boost my roots. When I mix up my soil I'll flush it with the solution prior to planting my seed after it's mixed and potted. (I'll do this at least a few days if not a week prior to planting)

Today marks 14 days since sprouting. Smaller then i had hope them to be but never grew auto so hope they are good size for 2 weeks. Had some time so i transplanted them to 2 gallon pots 2/3 happy frog soil and 1/3 coco coir.
Gave them 1/3 strength veg nutes, b52, rhino shin, voodoo juice. Let's see how they do outside. There supposed to be exploding with growth in the next two weeks.

They all look super healthy! Once they get some more fan leaves they will definitely explode with growth! How much direct sun do they get a day?

First day outside so i put them behind bamboo plants so they dont get burned. But they will get about 5 to 6 hours of direct sunlight. And they were under t5 24/0 lighting. I prefer 18/6 but my timer stopped working so i just left the 24/0.

About 5 inches. I actually wanted them to stretch a bit. The ones that stretched the most were the ones i put behind a tree with not much leaves so the sun can still penetrate. Did that for the last week. But are full on sun now. Just think they get better light penetration when a little stretchy.
