First, 7 leaves now 1

Let me just start out saying this is my first grow and it has been exciting through out the whole expirence and very intersting. I have a clone, I dont know what type it is but it looks good. It has been growing out side. Height is 2 1/2 feet and has had buds growing all over for about 4 weeks. My question is if I prun the top about a nich will the cut off of growth to the top of the plant make the buds below it grow bigger? Also can cuting certain leaves make the plants energy focus on the buds? Any help.. Dank you!

If you are that far into flower I wouldn't do anything to the plant at this point. No cutting of anything definately. There are some things a soil grower can do toward the end of the budding cycle and certain additives that may help but I do hydro and others will have to help in that area.
