Me and my lady picked up a clone from a local dispensary, sadly all they had was Tahoe OG, so looks like in the next few months i will be sleeping like a bear. But heres the details.
Starting off with 6 23 watt CFL's. 5 6500k 1 2700k. All mounted overhead on a 18/6 timer.
Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil planted in a 4 gallon pot.
I am following the Fox Farms feeding schedule, but going to taper on with the big 3 nutes. (Big Bloom, Grow Big and Tiger Bloom).
As the plant gets taller and needs lights from the side, we will be adding 6 more lights, 3 from each side. I will try to keep up with the postings weekly as the plant grows!

Btw, can anyone tell me how to get it so all the pics are either attachments or at least straight up?

Veg day 2:
So heres more pics. since were using CFL's, were really not too concerned with using aluminum foil. If the lights can be 2 inches away, some aluminum foil a foot away shouldn't create hot spots. Clone was planted last night, watered. She looks a lil droopy but I'm not too concerned because of all the water and new soil.

are you growing in a room or out of a box
its in a closet at my girls place!

Dude thats a sweet light fixture. Did you follow a DIY for that?
thanks man! nah no DIY, i just got creative with it.. heres another pic of it hanging. I just went to the hardware store, got the unwired light sockets, wired some speaker to them inside the piping.. All gold screws wired to other gold screws, and silver to silver (+.-) super glued the sockets into the PVC and built it all in the Home Depot. lol, pretty simple and effective.. It hangs from the bar u hang clothes hangers from. Tin top fit perfect and was from the $1 store lol.

Heres an update for the day 3. BAD NEWS. The plant got burn when the lights were too close and the leaves were all drooping.. I watered when the plant was first planted on friday night with tap, PH about 7. No extra notes added. "new" growth has lil brown tips. I called the club i got the clone from and they said it might not of been rooted. Im going away on a trip till wednesday so I plan to water and if its dead when i get back, the owner said i could take it back to the club and get a new, rooted clone. Pretty shitty start. As you can see, the lights are plenty far away now. photo 2 by kevin50022, on Flickrphoto 1 by kevin50022, on Flickr

Day 5 (back from vacation). She was more burnt that me and my lady were at the lake. Some leaves were dried yellow. no new growth and fan leaves had brown tips.. We used tap water left overnight and out during the day outside and FFOF soil, no extra nutes. Here she is now, i trimmed off the dead leaves to focus on new growth. good news is that the roots have grown out of the rock woll. I took off the tin foil lighting cover today.

clone it? its growing so slow. OG growth is bad but new growth is slowly living.. I think the FFOF was too strong for her:/

thanks man! i watered 6 days ago and the soil is still moist down there.. I will check in the morning tomorrow see how she's doing. Can i use less water and water twice a week rather than appropriate water once a week?

Imo If that clone doesn't look better in the next week, its time to restart and make your own grow medium, Seems like ur a creative guy and its simple..

Day 12: I had a pH problem with my water, so I switched my water to CVS "just the basics" reverse osmosis distilled water and added 1/4 strength of "grow big". Finally she's been growing new growth! Stems are a little brown but I'm hoping with the newly fixed pH, it will settle. Well here she is as of now.

Ok hey guys.
Day 14.. How am I doing?
So we just topped off the pot with perlite and mixed her in all nice and deep like, watered with a full dose of big bloom and a half dose of grow big. She looks a bit droopy but the perlite should help with the old stagnant water. We took out the one 2700k light and added a 6th 6500k. Ill transition when its the right time. pH of soil is ~6.5 so were golden there. How does she look?

So do you have this clone on 12/12...? Because it is either trying to flower now, or it is revegging...and it didn't look like a flowering clone...
Anyway it looks like you are getting it...so hang in there.
You will never get the results you want using CFLs, at least not those ones...
You would need so many that it just costs less and makes more sense to upgrade the lights...
That doesn't matter til later...
I guess keep on keeping on, and remember to not water til the pot is light, and water it til you see runoff everytime you water...There is no way to speed the process, other than heat and fans...You need the fans to cool and strengthen the plants and also to move air and help things dry...the heat comes from larger lights...the heat isn't just a byproduct, it is sometimes a benefit to the plants...like when starting seeds and clones...a big light makes a lot of heat, and that heat helps the plant to grow and hurry it using the water from the soil...
So good luck I'm sure you'll be fine...

if you follow the main base stem up, u see it stop with a brown tip.. any way to make this grow again?
No...that is why the plant has growth other shoots...to keep growing up even though it is unable to regrow the specific branch...

Nevermind...it is just from the stress it recently underwent...not only from you, but I was forgetting that clones under not so great conditions will often grow strangely at first, the same way a revegged plant will...

Watch the amount of nutes you are giving it as well...
