ever since i had a really bad car accident this year, i couldn't play well for months and months
but after i started to heal and play more i noticed the tone of my fender MIM stratocaster running into my fender mustang III (solid state isn't ideal for tone hunters like myself, i know) wasn't as sweet and nice as before,
i thought it was my guitar at first from sitting for so long maybe the action was off because it wasn't holding a tune as well
but during all this here in southern California there was a major heat wave well over 100 many days so i believe the heat really messed with the wood this time being most of my instruments are in a garage not inside my home i don't have room
but after having a luthier inspect everything, set her up, etc i still couldn't get that old sweet tone i missed from before so i thought maybe it was the amp because at lower volumes there was an odd buzz noise
in the meantime, the weather has mellowed out for fall finally and guitar plays comfier, holds a tune better, etc.
and yesterday i was playing with my buddy he's a pretty good jazz drummer and i had to turn up my amp way louder than playing alone and adjusted the eq, reverb, noise gate, etc to ear also i went louder than i needed to play at and use the volume knob on the guitar to control it rather than having it on 10 is too much attack at higher volumes plus rolled back tone just a slight hair and i think i got the old tone I'm used to back after 6+ months of trying !!!!!!!!! Im so hyped! i can't wait to play, soon as everythings good in the garden off i go to play play play!!!!!!
