Filter/Fan Size Question

Could anyone tell me - what size can fan/carbon filter would you reccommend for a small grow chamber (about 158cu. ft.)? Floor area is 6ft.x5ft. Feedback/advice are greatly appreciated!

Id say it was better to buy a slightly bigger fan if you intend to grow all year round and just fit it to a speed controller, That way you can adjust the fans accordingly, Im no good with maths so i cant say what fan size you need. How many do you intend to grow ? Do you live where its hot ? You need to take these into consideration, Buying a bigger fan and throttling it is best tho i would say as you cant change your air system once the grows kicked off.

Thanks for the reply! It would be a small area, so I'd start a few plants and take clones from 'em - I figure I'd have room for about 30, give or take a few. Forgot to mention, I'd be using a 400W MH/HPS in a cool tube, and want to put a fan on it as well so I can duct most of the heat out of the little room. I live where it gets pretty hot in summer, but I'd be insulating the room well and actually framing it in, sheetrocking and painting it,etc... Also - I have access to a R2D2-looking portable A/C to help deal w/heat. Any thoughts on what size filter/fan combo, and can-fan for the light, would be best?

If your doing 30 a 400w wont do much, If you live where its hot then you should defo think about a speed controller and go with the biggest fan you can afford, (thats if your doing 30)
Length x Width x height = total volume in cubic ft. The fan needs to be able to move that amount of air every 5 mins.

I would recommend exchanging the air every three minutes, so that means you need a filter that can scrub about 53 CFM. A Can 9000 charcoal filter with a 4" axial fan would probably be fine for exhaust, but if you are recirculating air I would go with a 5" High-Output Canfan.
