I was wondering if firbreglass/loft insulation was ok to use as a growing medium? I was told it was poisonous to the plants.

I know fibreglass and rockwool are sort of the same texture.

If your talking about the Owens Corning "Pink Panther" type compressable fiberglass insulation then no its not ok to grow with,it will hold too much water & the plants will drown quickly.
