Alright so i found this link in the DIY section and was just wondering, can you grow plants from seeds in this sysem? Or do you have to transplant the plants into the system after they have developed their roots? Plz read through the guide and tell me what you think, im strongly considering trying this setup and need the advice of those more experienced than me to make an educated decision. Thanks for ally our input.

This is the link.

Probably best to start seed of in a root cube until has a couple of sets of leaves, then move to unit and lights, and add to the clay pebbles or other medium.

I have a similar one plant system and have been very surprised by results, your plants will get something like 3 times the air to the root mass to help it grow.

Got bought one unit (20l bucket version), and transplanted a plant that started in soil into it. After carefully removing what soil i could under shower head (!) put it in net pot and at the time none of the roots came through the holes as they were all clumped together. The pic shows the same plant 2 weeks later (did feed it cannazym to stop any root rot during transition, and rhizotonic).

Reckon your onto a winner.

My other question is, do i need to get a timer to set it to water x times per day for x minuters per time?
And if so how many times per day and for how long should i water it?

do i need to add rocks or gravel or anything of the sort into the net cups? or do the plants just kinda free hang?

you sure you read those grow guides? just poke around for a while and you will find the answers! check out filthyfletch's posts about building your own aero
