fertilizer question

Just got back from the store and i saw these fertilizer sticks there about 3 inches long fairly thin there 13-4-5 my plant is in the first stages of flowering light cycle 12/12 about a week and 3 days i have added no nutrients to this point and was wondering if anybody had ever tried these you just stick them in the soil halfway between the plant and the pot and water the plant as need if any one has tried them let me know its a pretty weak mixture so i was wondering if it would hurt them at all like i said i have added no nuits o this point so just looking for some of that expert advice out there as this is my first real grow thanks....:joint::peace:

Well what soil you using??

Im surprised you didnt need any fertilizer during your vegging....

And 13-24-5 is not good for flowering. N-P-K Nitrogen, phosphate, and potassium.

You need more nitrogen for the vegging and more phosphate and potassium for the flowering, so I wouldnt use that.

Every one has different methods but I would get on a two or three part fert program. 1st part for veg 2nd for flower and 3rd for a treat. I use botanicare products for the grow I'm currently in. It worked pretty good, but seemed to be missing alot of micro nutes. I've been looking at Fox Farm products for the nexted grow. I would try to stay away from anything you can get at Wal-mart.
