Female noob here again! I think I have a hermi...

oh yeah you do. get those out. get some reverse or some snow storm. spray that down. yank those off. figure out what caused them? what strain is that? is there enough light at the bottom of the canopy where they are forming? post a picture of the entire plant, lets figure this out before it destroys an entire grow. oh god i feel bad for ya!!

turn ur fans off too!! i just looked again. there is pollen on the leaf below. from the looks of it they had to have been there at least a week now. maybe not as evident that there were male calyx's forming. but wow. yikes. have to get that pollen made sterile and not blown around. there isn't any pistil recession yet from polination so you may be lucky that it's sterile to begin with. but that's like a one in a million chance.

I want to say a whole bunch of cuss words right now. It looks like it started from the top. She actually was a "loner" (experiment) and I actually have 7 others, but they are at 4 weeks and I haven't started to flower them. Are they safe for now?

I know it is Indica, but thats it. Got it from some decent bagseed. Thought she was a girl. Guess not. Below is a pic I took a week after switching it to 12/12. Going to go take pictures right now of the entire plant.

99% of the time seed in bag seed resulted from a hermi plant thus continuing the hermi line. how long were they vegging for?

So jeez...I think I am screwed. I turned off the fans and removed the hermi from the room. Do you guys think the entire room is contaminated now? If so, how can the room be de-contaminated from any pollen that may have blown around? If, this is even possible.

Here are the other plants that are still in veg; they are 3 to 4 weeks old. The (3) in the 2 gal pots are 4 weeks old today- just repotted them. They are 5" tall. I mean, what are the chances these are hermi too? This is really discouraging guys. Really feeling like I should just throw in the towel...

ur veg plants will be just fine. don't throw in the towel. it's part of learning how the plant works. the pollen won't contaminate the veg plants. and even if they have the very first pistils on the main stalk and they get polinated, that's a great thing. you've got a true cross then and have less of a chance to hermi next time...but how to fix this.

reverse is a product from dutch master that'll sterilize the pollen and prevent any more male flowers from showing. make sure you don't have light leaks as those may be the culprit. remove about 6 to 8" from the bottom of the flowering plant. just clean it all up. leaf, flower, calyx, etc...just the stem should be there. nice and bare so that it can become woody and support the weight from above. snow storm from humboldts own also sterilizes pollen. so they say, i've had no experience in actually doing that.

So, yeah your room is definetly contaminated but your other plants are not effected they are too young. Water neutralizes the pollen so just spray your room down with a squirt bottle and rinse your other plants. Also I would probably rinse the pre filter on your charcoal filter. This is exactly how I got started last year, bagseed:) I only had two plants one female and one hermi. I bred both plants who where from the same genetics and end up with all female seeds. This is how they femenize seeds. Save some pollen in the fridge and polinate a couple of flowers when you are flowering your other females:) Hope this helps

no don't chop her down. it's just a small darkness issue likely. here's a picture.View attachment 1459021

the circled section just needs to get cleaned up. i'll send another picture tomorrow of a few of mine.

I will clean her up tomorrow, as you suggested. Love how you circled my photo! So I take off any of the branches that are flowering too then? I PM'd you toquer...

Since I haven't started flowering the others yet, can I continue to keep it under the HPS in the same room as the ones still in veg that are under the T5's? As long as I keep an eye on it and remove any pods I see...is this do-able? Too risky?

not big branches. just branches that are inside the plant that don't make it out to see the light. those are the ones with male flowers right?

you've got veg and flower lights in the same room? not seperated by anything? so the HPS is on 12 hours and the t5 is on for 18?

I had some male flowers at the top too...the pods seem to be scattered all over the place. I removed like 30 or so pods and about 3 actual flowers. Yes, got them in the same room which is ~10ft x 7ft x 80" high. The hermi is on a 12/12 light schedule and the ones in veg were on 24 hrs until 2 nights ago, when I set the timer to 20 hrs on and 4 off. In another week, I was going to change the lights to 18 on and 6 off.

IMO 20/4 is much better for Veg. As far as your he/she plant, are there any other plants flowering and already budding or shooting pistils? If so they might of been pollenated, check those plants for bannana leaves. I would also recommend you cut off air circulation and clean out the grow room with some hot water and a little bleach. Hope that helps.

I would also recommend you dont cut any leaves or branches off any plants unless they are dead. If it doesnt come off with a little tug, leave it alone. Mother nature doesnt trim off leaves to get more light through....

Peace

If you don't want your other ladies bred then I would probably get rid of it. If the hermi is in the same room then there's a good chance you are going to get some fertilization. Go to a borders or a smoke shop and get Jorge Cervantes"Marijuana Horticulture the indoor/outdoor medical growers bible" This will teach you "Japanese":) You can get chemicals that will change the hormones but I wouldn't bother wasting the money. It sounds like this is one of your first grows and this is the fun part about learning how to cultivate this amazing plant!!! When you become a caregiver and you have several patients and you are growing 100's of plant's then I would look into the chemicals. Buy your genetics from online or if you are legal a lot of dispensaries have seeds from actual seed producing companies. I have ordered online and the genetics have been far superior to most of the bagseed that I have cultivated.

Hi there BKB. Nothing is flowering in the grow room besides the he/she. It will be at least another 4 weeks before I put those currently in veg into flower. I gather from everything I have read, that I should wait until the hermi is done flowering. Too late, I already cut some bottom leaves (about 20-30), but no branches were cut at all. Pic below of what it looks like now.

I removed the 3 flowers that had bananas and any other pod thingys I saw. (I also squirted her down with water afterwards) Now I know why you don't want a hermi...it is a bitch to keep looking to see if any flowers are forming and it is also a little difficult to tell between a pod and a preflower. The pre flowers look a little like the pods except they have white hairs that "show". I may have pulled some pre-flowers off by accident.

Here is a pic of a preflower, right?
Hermi031.JPG

And this is a male pod?

Hermi034.JPG

They both look kind of similar to me, what about you guys? Most of the photos I have seen males have multiple pods...not just 1 or 2 near eachother. Is this indicitive of what hermi's do?

If anything...I have had some fun taking pictures as you can see LOL.
