Hi everybody ... I have a HPS 430W I'm using for my flower level ... I'm thinking ... when I have the doe ... of replacing it with a 250W HPS and a 250W MH ... the reason being for a better light spectrum ... and the bulbs for 430W are expensive ... I could replace both 250W at half the cost of a 430W ... plus not all store carry it. I have a 150W HPS on the flower level as well ... I plan to keep that ... I will have 650W for a 4X2 area ... that should be enough light ... an extra 70W shouldn't be too bad ... so what do you think?:-|

One can never have too much light in my opinion. If the space is properly ventilated, the lights are far enough away from the plants, and the temperature is manageable; I say go nuts!

Good luck and good growing.

Well heat is somewhat a problem ... especially when it get hot outside ... but the plants seems to be able to manage ... I am thinking about getting a ballast kit, it's cheaper ... the only problem is I can find a container or box that could handle the heat ... I checked on line but couldn't find anything in the states that had a box to put the inners in ... if any one has a suggestion or link that could help me find a container would be appreciated ...:clap:
