Hello, just got told not to come into work and I am getting happy high right now, got some Amnesia Haze a friend grew. Got me thinking about my all time favourite holiday destination, Amsterdam.
I used to go a few times a year in my 20's, it's only a 45 min flight and then you are there! Even got my first tattoo done there, but that's another story.
I hadn't been for nearly 5 years - had a baby and it just wasn't doable, but in July my sweet mother in law offered to look after my boy for a long weekend and almost threw us out the house to go and CHILL THE FUCK OUT in Amsterdam. Much needed trust me.
My first stop is always Centraal Coffeeshop, pick up a few sativas, a little bong and cup of hot black coffee. They are totally sound there and good prices. It was weird walking in dressed as a (fairly) respectable woman in her 30's with a pink roller suitcase, a bunch of kids looked up at me as if to say WTF are you doing here? The guys behind the bar are older too and it was kind of nice coming back and feeling like old timers.
We got so much weed at the Centraal we didn't buy anymore anywhere else and I got a shock that you had to buy weed to smoke at most places, not smoke your own, but I am cheeky, and I got away with smoking my own anyway - just kept saying 'wow hasn't it changed since we were here last' and they just let me smoke my bong in peace.
Enough rambling. Where are your favourite coffeeshops?
