Why won't it grow?

Hello all, I could use some help here. I grew three BEAUTIFUL plants outdoors this past summer. One Pepper Jack and one Tangerine Dream in 20 gallon felt Smart Pots and one Dr. Greenthumb G13 right in the ground in perfect soil. I grew the G13 indoors last winter and it was everything I had hoped it would be.
All three plants did wonderfully outdoors with the Pepper Jack finishing first with a yield of almost one pound dried and cured. I was amazed at the amount and size of the buds on the G13 and I was thinking that I would get 2-5 lbs yield like the catalogue said...the Tangerine Dream was also a thing of beauty. Then the crap hit the fan some damp weather in September and the G13 fell terminally ill with bud rot. I could not save her. I salvaged nothing of it. Then I starded to notice the beginings of botrytis on the TD. Some dry weather and quick action saved her and I was able to get a decent yield.
Please, if you have had good luck in the NE part of the US with quick finishing strains, enlighten me.
