Hi, I have noticed an odour from the pretty girl. I think its because at lights off the exhaust and intake fan are off. Do you run fans 24/7 or do I have a shit carbon filter?

Once my charcoal filter is off for 15-20 mins it starts to reek on the 2nd floor, but overall I run them 24/7 including regular fans to prevent mold, create more better stronger growth and it seems to make the buds grow better if they don't get air they don't seem to grow

I love fan controllers but you hafto make sure that exhaust and intake are working at max speed when lights go on, and 1/3 to 1/2 potency when off depending on cfm. I find it hgard to keep temperatures high enough during dark period if fans are blasting, Its impossible to have too much air when lights are on, the more air flows through your room the more co2 should be made available.

why the exact same speed? they would be working together.... so the speed wouldn't matter too much? i have a hyper fan at max power as my exhaust and only a little 6 inch desk fan for my intake. no problems

I have had them off at lights off to keep my temp difference to a minimum. How does one set up a timmer that turns down fan speed at lights off?

Can you reformulate your question please? not getting it.

The cheapest way i can think of would be to connect exhaust onto extension and on that extension cut the wire and reconeect an extra plug essencially providing the exhaust with 2 power sources. Put both of them on two separate digital timers and the one that goes on when lights go off put a dimmer switch on so exhaust reduces speed for dark period. And the other digital timer to turn on and off with lights at max speed.
Tbh at lights off i dont think theres a point having intake going, the exhaust will bring enough air in for their resting period.

Also, a carbon filter as a prefilter can be very benefitial. I never hardly get any mould problems and very very few bugs.

Ps.: Before any electricans start goin omg wtf! Go fuck yourself, its minimal wattage and its just creating two separate power sources to the extension.

Just to clarify. Run the fan with carbon filter 24/7 or have it on a timer? Same with intake?
To avoid headaches just get a fan controller and put the probe right next to a bulb so the momenbt lights go on that shit will be going max speed the whole time. If temps go a bit too low youll need a heater for support, if they go too high you need an ac. Tbh even before buying any lights nutes or even thinking about whiuch strain to get an acis imo the most important piece of equipment to ensure equal end product year round.
