Would a fan directed on a CMH bulb in a batwing hood be sufficient enought to cool it if i cant cool with a tube or anything?
Fan on lights?

try it. you said you cant get a tube anyways. never mentioned the watts. anything over 400 is damn hard to cool in a bedroom without a tube. good luck.

as long as you have sufficent enough exhaust to pull out the hot air in the room a good fan blowing across the bulb will work.

you should be fine, 400w is fairly easy to cool.

he doesnt say the wattage. and 400s are not easy to cool. try as hard as you want but the temp at the top of the plants will be 90+ degrees without a tube. but i'd still do it. but a 400 in a closet is damn hard to cool. aim the fan from the bottom up. works very well. good luck

what do you mean he doesnt say the wattage? and yes 400w is very easy to cool. i know i have one in an open parabolic reflector with nothing but a fan blowing a brezze between the plants and the light. the girls love it.

setup looks nice. but it sounds like hes going stealth by the question. it is def possible to cool but just a pain. but he doesnt say the wattage. nice setup man. healthy looking. and i also use 400s uncooled. multiple 400s but it gets literally 96 degrees sometimes. just sometimes though. mine are yielding huge and you should get more with your canopy. much of my light is wasted right now. just flowered my old mothers. 1 of my 400s in use. the other is for my lowryder 2s.

pathetically i got fast as hell typing on this site. the site actually gave me an award last week but it dissappeared for some reason. this guy should be able to cool that if he is at all willing to try. but many would burn them on their first grow. cant wait till i'm done. sick of smoking the asian sensation. lol
