Fan leaves/ trimming/ how much is to much?

so my girl insists that i have way to many fan leaves on all of my girls... i know a good hair cut is always a good thing but should i really strip all the big ones off? also to much trimming can throw them into shock, right? anyone got some pix of their girls? maybe i can get a good idea off your grow!

You can strip off some leaves, or even just cut the tips of some to allow more sunlight, but they are really important for the plant in general.

as stated, yup, you can trim. i always end up doing a lot of it. but i do use the, "if you can't tuck it, pluck it," adage. sometimes, i only cut off a finger or two from a leaf. just don't do too much trimming at any one sitting. and don't worry about shock. even outdoor plants can experience a good amount of stress.

If you aren't in the Arctic Circle, the sun is still high enough in the sky that you don't have to worry about shading of the plant by the fan leaves. Anything you might cut probably isn't worth the risk you are taking by messing with it.

Leave her alone! :)
