Fan leaf with branch from stem???

While pulling fan leaves from an indoor plant I saw a branch growing from the fan leaf stem. I have
never seen this before. Anyone seen this before?

I've seen a lot of weird shit. That one is new to me.

It is possible to root a leaf with stem, then eventually most strains will send out a shoot like that or from the palm of the leaf. Takes forever...sometimes it doesn't work. Neat to see it happen on a growing plant though.

It looks a bit like those just sort of fused together, there's a bit of a seam there (like how tree trunks from separate trees sometimes merge).

This is new to me..
