Ez-Clone help- no roots...panic?

Heres the sccop-

I received some clippings (15) and placed them in an EZ Clone 60 Site System. They were cut with a razor blade and dipped in Clonex. Optimal environment- sprayed constantly under 2 4 foot fluorescents.
They were placed in the aeroponic system on Friday at approx. 8pm. It is now 2am Monday and there is no visible change in the root system. The clippings are vibrant and standing straight up top.
Now I initially was unaware of the need for downtime when it comes to the sprayers. From what I've absorbed on this wonderful site I would consider a minute on and 5 off would suffice. My hourly timers however do not fulfill such a task and my trip to Walmart proved unfruitful when I returned home this evening to find the digital timer with 1 minute intervals to have been swapped out of the box by some bastard for another piece of shit that will do me no good. I have had a series of times where I turn the sprayers off but fear that an hour would be too long and just dry them out.
I also wonder if it is possible that my cuts were insufficient. Did I not reveal enough phloem to sprout a nice series of roots? I guess my question is despite my mishaps and lack of sufficient off times cycled with the sprayers, is it bad that I see no change whatsover in the clipped ends? Should I re-cut and gel? Or is it alright and things will turn around when I enforce a strict schedule?

Thank you all. RIU is a blessing.
