Extreme topping! Will it work?

O.K., here's the deal: 2 weeks ago, I was trying to CAREFULLY
bend the top of my 12' Lemon
Skunk. Then, SNAP!!!, oh shit!!!!! I lost the top 34".
The top is in my cloner under 20 hours of light and the Lemon
has 12 huge branches ALL thinking they are the new top.

Last evening I did the same thing to an LSD and a Thai SS.

My patio grow can only accomodate up to 12' verticle, and no real room to train, (18 10 gal containers on 240 sq.ft).

So my question would be,
will all these "new" tops be anything like the original main
cola thats been lost?

I am amazed that none of them has shown any sign of shock or distress, as I said, the Lemon
responded great and is shaking
12 huge arms skyward!
As always, all comments appreciated.
Good luck & good grow.......BB

as long as the plant is in veg youll be fine, from that break you should get two more main stems, this is a way to increase yeild, most of this is in the faq or has been asked several times,

Yes, these are sativa's & their not flowering yet, just a little "comforting" sex sign, ie: double white hairs. My concern was the "radicalness" of taking them down by 3 & 4 feet! I'm working with a 12 foot ceiling, and the Lemon Skunk, Thai Super Skunk, & the LSD are all trying to break through!
I'm sure someone, with more experience than I, would be able to train them someway. But it's such a jungle out there. See pix.
Good luck & good grow.....BB

Hi Fried, thanks very much! Yes, I have a journal going, "2009 grow from Burger Boss". I pretty well covered who I am & what I grow & how I do it. Unfortunately I got way too greedy & got myself a real "jungle" out there, ( 18 ten gallon containers in approx. 240 sq. feet of floor space). I just HAD to do some cloning around June 1st, and that did me in!! lol
Good luck & good grow......BB

BB, The thing with training a plant starts at a young age, when the stem is still soft, you can use just about anything to tie your plant up, in the direction that you desire.
I personally use yarn, but make shur to relax the tension on the plants after a couple of days, let it relax. you can also prune your plant into a shorter plant starting from a young age also, by pinching the nodes after the 4th node to produce two in the place of that main cola. if you need to bend a stem now is the time to do it, just pinch the plant whare you need the plant to bend the stem will soften up so you dont break it off and will re strengthen that spot, read up on super croping , fim. and topping.
Is the spaces between the nodes at least an inch or less???
