hi everyone. my 7 weeks easy rider/auto giant (ak-47 x critical mass) are yellowing fast!

one I have flushed, another I spraied with Fe integrator on the leaves, another with Mg integrator, in another pot I have added epsom salts.

only one plant is green and healty, even though bottom leaves are yellowing too.

I'll add some pics to better explain. every help is needed and appreciated very much.Foto0227.jpgFoto0228.jpgFoto0224.jpgFoto0226.jpgFoto0225.jpg

other pics. only different thing between the healty one and the others is soil. 5 have been raised in plagron royalty mix, the healty one in normal soil. temp is always around 27/28°C, well aired thanx to a window+large fan, 600W hps lamp. ph soil is a bit high, around 7,7/8, but it could be a wrong reading due to the ph meter which is a cheap one. and however it's the same ph of the normal soil.

been using bloombastic+bio bloom after first signs of flowering.

did test/calibrate (can they do that? I've never actually looked at one) your ph meter before taking measurements?

lack of nitregon.. yellowing is normal in flowering

if in the 3rd week the main leaves are so yellow what could be in the end, approx in other 5-6 weeks? the green one is not yellowing so bad, ofc... I'm worried. and btw I'm using the bloombastic/bio bloom combo which is rich in nitrogen...

the last pics. the situation is worring me. so I've feed them through leaves, used the flowering nutes, flushed one and epsom salted another one. another is feeded only with water for now. only one I continue to feed with regular nutes without signs of bad yellowing is the one growing in normal soil.

what do you think?

The stems look really pale.... My only judgement is Nitrogen and Mg to help bring the green back into the plant. That would be the 1st thing I go to. Good luck

I could get really Dr. House on this and say that maybe the plant is getting bad Night hours with light disturbance. That's a possibility. There is problem with your photosynthesis. Nitrogen or Mg should help with that color and health

thanx, but my question is: how about the plant which isn't affected almost at all? they're growing in the same place... and during the short night (4 hours) it's very dark everywhere!

I'll throw more epsom and nitrogen, will let you know...

There is the problem the short nights...... your plant is flowering, it's going to need at least 12hours of night to Photosynthesize. Problem solved, don't worry about your nutrients. just switch up that light and give it a good watering an hour before you shut them off. :) keep me posted.

Expect your plant to really be growing a lot of trichomes and crystals within the next week and a half, starting after you give it some sleep

you also may want to check your pH the old fashion way. i had a cheap pH meter for a while, after 6 months it was so out of whack that it was reading my tap water at 4.5 when it is 7.0. it wouldn't stay calibrated even when stored in calibration solution. i finally threw it out and went back to drops. you keep refering to one plant being in "normal soil" what are the others growing in?

if that fancy testing stick is right, the soil ph is way to high...gotta fix that first, no?

lol...

dxtr, don't let these guys confuse you. just do what I said. They should be growing really strong just with the 12 hour night shift. They need that night to grow and photosynthesize aka TURN GREEN AND BLOSSOM. the light just gives the plants energy that the plants use at "NIGHT" without proper night hours the plants are gathering so much energy and burning out because they can't use the energy, that's why your plants are dying. GIVE IT MORE NIGHT SHIFT.

thanx mates... I try to answer to all of you.

tafbang - they're automatic strain, the seed company that sell them strongly recommends that light/night cycle. dunno if I could mess it up changing it but I can give it a try anyway. it remains a mistery howevere that one plant is still very very green and it's growing along with the others... and with the same 20/4 cycle.

scca - normal soil because 5 out of 6 of my plants are growing in the royalty mix by plagron, which is said to be enough for the entire cycle nute's speaking, just adding water.

regarding the ph issue... I know it's a bit on the high side, I've bought a soil acidificator just in case. I fear that the plagron soil somehow locks the feeding... yes the problem is definitely that the plants are running out of photosynthesis matter, they already show very big yields and it would be really a shame if they die or not develop properly...

so to sum up:

I will reduce the ph soil (using epsom salts? using a mg integrator? sulfur?)

I will add more nutes (bloombastic and bio bloom, which are rich in nitrogen)

maybe I could extend the night to 6 hours? I've read others autoflowering strain diary and everyone was having a great harvest with that cycle... maybe they're not completely autoflowering? regardless, they on their own have started to flower exactly 25 days after the sprout, always with the 20/4 cycle. problems started just after that time.

If it's autoflower, then it's not the lights.

do you think you are not giving it enough nutrients? if you think you are giving it sufficient nutrients then it's probably just a lockout due to low ph. Get your ph to 6.5+ and hopefully that will get it greener

important nutrients are locked out at 6.4 ph
