experimental mountain grow!!!

Well This was my first attempt the outdoor growing and i am fuckin surprised.


I put 4 clones in the ground in the middle of the mtns from my clone tray to the ground, and thank god its been raining for like 3 weeks to i guess harden off the plants...

Well i havent checked on the plants in 2 weeks or so and they were 6 inches barley growing so i was like fuck it...

But weather has been nice the past week and half and the plants are like 2 feet or so hhaha i couldnt beleive it.. im so happpppy:mrgreen::mrgreen:

Also does anyone know when the plants will start flowering here in the rocky mountains in CO???

haha ya, bio grow with some liquid karma.... i figured it was about time for me to give them some nutes.

but the strains are Tangerine in the first 2 pics and the last 2 are Purple god

hmm i wonder how big they will get??

Haven't grown in the rockies before but you are closer to the sun so I would imagine pretty big, I was praying that wasn't your local water supply..lol

lol you thought about the water too ha but it depends when you start seein shorter days is a pretty good indication when you can expect flowering

wow those plant look fucking great my out door grow is only 3 weeks old and there yellowing. u got one great soil there and its been getting sorter days for a week now and my plants arent flowering yet so ya the bigger the better.

Nice grow. Glad to see somebody else in the RKM. Well, preflowers should be showing now and flower by first week of August. THe biggest problem is if they will finish in time. Looks like your in the Oak brush just above shitty PJ at about 5-6000ft elevation. If your lucky the first freeze/snow will be mid-October. That gives you 9-10 weeks of flowering. The only thing you have to worry about is deer/elk and starting in August, hunters.

I can't believe you guys pack in gallons of water. +rep

damm i got alot of replies on this hell ya haha. I put some string around the plants to protect them like 8 layers so im hoping no deer get to it.

Ya the Grow is at 6900 feet in just in the middle of the mtns. I park like everyone else but just creep off and have to go up and over a mtn literally and im there, it takes about 45 minutes to an hour.

Thanks for the rep bro ya i pack the gallons haha thats all i had at the moment so i was like fuck it mixed some nutes in there and just hiked up there.

Thanks buster for the info bro, the tang is 7-8 week strain and the purple god can go 8-10.. the purp god looks even better looking outdoor just towering branches, like the bottom branches are all as tall as the main cola its weird how it grows.

What are you growing outside bro??

I would love to put some of my rockwool hydro clones outdoors to double, triple , whatever my crop. How would I go about this and what is a good time to transfer from a indoor hydro room to a secret garden in the outdoors ??????? I know its should be soon if I do I would think.

They should start showing any day now. What altitude are you growing at? I am in Costa Rica now growing at 6,500 feet. Welcome to mountain growing, sure is different than my past grows in Florida....lol. Good Luck and the plants are looking good.

umm im pretty sure u can put your rockwool cubes outside, but i dunno how well it would work if they are already in hydro ya no. i guess since there on a timer to get fed 3 times a day. I would just cut clones put them in your rockwool wait to root then put those bitches outside and letem grow!!!

hey canefan, im growing at the same you are 6500 feet maybe a tad bit higher. But ya i love it up there, i havent been there in like over 2 weeks bc its rained like almost everyday. I really want a big surprise when i go up there(hopefully not a bad surprise from a deer)

But shitttttt i guess i will go out there tomorrow morning before work, i really want to see them!

Hell yeah Im gonna try it. I have about 10 clones to many and need to clear some out. Im at about 6,000 feet. This should be fun !!!

for sure man, you will get some goooooood bud. Also no i have never done a mountain grow by the way coopdevillan. Just like you i had to many clones and i hike alot of trails with my dog so i was like fuck it. Walked up and over 1 mountain then up the first slope to the 2nd mountain dug a hole put soil for 3 of them then planted the other 3 in regular soil and they flourished!!

Try it bro, just make sure to harden off your clones first or the sun will kill them. Put like 2 net pots over the clone for 2 days then take it off and they will be good. Thats what i do and it works 100%

i wanna go up there right now dammmmit, but fuckkkkkk i gotta go sign up for my classes this semester.

Ok so if I start a 12/12 cycle on some of my outdoor strain clones I will be able to smoothly transfer at a even 12/12 cycle using this...... Sun&what[]=Moon&month=9&day=16&year=2009&zipcode=&place=denver+&state=CO&searchtype=place

I can then be 2 weeks ahead thus no getting screwed on a super pre-mature harvest. I wont have them directly under light but onthe edges of my on going grow. I feel this will get the process started for two weeks and then sun lumens will catch it up to a decent harvest. Feed back would be great,:hump:

ya dude for sure u will be good, no matter what im sure u will get good bud, maybe not the best harvest but the sun is insane u never no man.

i will update this soon when im done eating.

well i finally got my lazy ass out in the mountains today to see how my babies have been doin.
Well its been raining everyday for the past 2 weeks, so as i suspected since the soil cant dry out they wouldnt grow much taller. But they grew about 6 inches taller but BUSHED the FUCK out compared to last time.

The Tangerine is doing sooooooo good, it was bred outside and is a colorado strain thats real popular in northern colorado and its my favorite for sure. I actully have 2 purple gods outside and they both started flowering for some reason, why would purple god start flowering and tang not, i thought it was about how much light they get?? The purple god was sent to me from Orange county so maybe thats why, not use to this rocky mountain weather???

well ya im going to foilar feed with Ginormous from humboldt nutrients, its a badass super bloom nutrient that "kicks" your plants into hardcore flowering and continue to watch them growww. The tangerine smells so good to when i go out there, i can smell it before i even get to it. I have only had a couple plants smell in veg and this is one of them for sure
