EXPERIENCED GROWERS/DIY'rs--$800 to build closet grow cabs-(vague)

Hey guys I am currently in the middle of my 2 indoor grow inside of a rubbermaid tote with lots of cfls. link is in my Sig.

I have up to $800 to spend on supplies and equipment for this stealth grow space.

I know SOG's are normally for experienced growers, however Im confident I understand the concept and have raised plants well enough to take a whack at it!

Now for the details:

The grow room is..

54"w
30"d
52"h

I plan on using a 400w hps in a cooltube for flower and cool cfl for vegging.

I have already figured out a way to ventilate and control odor and am too lazy to add that in... just take my word for it.

As for the amount of plants I was going to ask your advice..

I originally wanted to use 1 gal grow bags and clip (2)-4 clones off of each mother(3 different indica strains) every 2 weeks. I will allow those clones to root and veg for 2 weeks, and on that 2nd week I will clip another round of clones and start to fill the flower chamber.

I assumed it would be smart to clip a few extra clones each time around incase any dont root.

This space should comfortably fit 24 plants.. 4 rows of 6

12/12:
******(8 weeks/harvest)
******(6 weeks)
******(4 weeks)
******(2 weeks)

I wasnt happy with the distance that the light would be from the 2 week and 4 week old plants so I figured I could elevate those bags to attempt to level the canopy... keeping all the taller budding plants on the left (8&6wk).. and the smaller on top of a 24"w x 20-24"h box.

I hope to make this box a clone chamber.. I wasnt sure if I would be able to keep my mothers in this small of a space, so i figured I would just use it for cloning/veg.

I have fox farms nutes, I dont know much about them and I havent gotten a chance to mess with them much so I will save that for when the closet is up and running.

As for the strain I want to grow.. I would obv like it to be a smaller type plant but maximize the yield.. I was thinking of something that could form some good baseball bat buds.. tall single cola clones.

Ive heard good things about LUI, church, and mazar.. but was interested in a purp or blue..

To save money I will be framing the space with ply wood and lining it with panda film or mylar.. havent decided which.

I hope someone can help me.. spend my money the best way possible. Thanks rollitupers

the more I think about this design the more I think I can fit the moms in that veg box..

The box is 2'w x 2'h x 2.5'd

I only need 12 clones max at a time.. and 3 moms.

Go hydro. Get yourself 4 rubbermaid 10gal tubs, 4 airpump, 8 airstones. 4-6 plants per tub on 2 week cycle or go with 3 rubbermaids on 3 week cycle. get 1 mother plant for clones. Atleast a 400w mh/hps for flower and CFL's and flourescents for veg. Lucas formula, ppms 1000-1400 find what works for you. Sit back and enjoy your success and unlimited amounts of Vegetables!!!!

http://www.hvacquick.com/spfnconfig.php?fm=td ...td-150 pulling air from the cool grow space through activated carbon scrubber, and then through the cooltube, and finally pushed out of the box.
That's exactly what I used in my closet, and it's the shit. Blows away (haha) other fans I've used. I can't say it's quiet because of the air movement noise, but you can't hear the actual fan at all. Good choice.

As for the strain, look at paradise seeds white berry, attitude sells them, if they are what paradise claims, they're a good choice for SOG. I've got 5 going now, but they're too young to tell anything about. 5/5 germed though.

I dont have the patience or time to mess with hydro and all of the assembly.. so if anyone can help i'd appreciate.

Your veg box plans look ok, but do you have a ventilation plan for it? I used the same TD Mixvent on my veg box, just the smallest one, the 4" instead of the 6". Here's a pic.. I put the whole exhaust rig on the outside of the box.

The other pic is the inside, hung a T5 fixture in there.

well considering the veg box is inside of the flower chamber Im thinking I could cut a passive intake from outside the closet and place a fan on top to force the warm air from the veg box out into the flower chamber where all of the air will then be sucked through the carbon filter, cooltube, through the fan and out of the enclosed grow space.

yea.. im trying to use the space i have as best as possible.. the veg box also acts as a way to lift the shorter 2wk and 4 wk old plants off the ground and level with the 8wk and 6wk old flowering plants. Giving me a level canopy.

I better understand your drawing now. This is what I'd do- make all of your passive intake come through the veg box. Air sucks in passive intake in veg box, then sucked through the interior wall of veg box into flower box. It'll work as long as you have enough intake holes cut. Then the exhaust in your flower cabinet goes carbon>>cooltube>>outside the cabinet. Only fan you'll need is the tdmixvent, and the veg chamber gets as much fresh air with one fan as the flower side.

ok this morning I made a few essential purchases..

400w digital ballast system, cooltube.

TD-150 fan--( "THESE FANS ARE THE REAL DEAL")

6" foothill carbon filter

Panda film

Im hoping to get building asap so that by the time my equipment gets here I will be ready to grow.

I don't know how better to explain what I mean, but I'm not stoned atm, so I'll give it a shot. Since you're only using one fan, but you need fresh air and air exchange in both the flower area AND the veg box that is within the flower area, you need to make the passive intake holes in the exterior wall of the veg box. Then on the other side of the veg box, passive intake holes that exit the veg box and into the flower area. So, all fresh air enters this box in the veg area, is then sucked from the veg to the flower. ya?

If I'm still not being clear, I'll draw something. If you have your head solidly wrapped around the exhaust then I'll leave you to it.
