Experienced growers advice please BEST SOG STRAIN FOR HIGH YIELD

My friend is looking for serious advice from experienced growers regarding the BEST STRAIN for SOG PERPETUAL HARVEST.

My friend has experience growing (2 somewhat successful grows) Now my friend understand that there are MANY MANY factors that will influence the results, therefore here is my friends set up:

Veg Room:
-8' by 10' Grow tent
- 600 watt MH for mothers (2 Mothers kept for cuttings after selecting the ''Best")
-18/6 light schedule
- 8 T8 Florescent Daylight 6500k for Clones (keeping clones no higher than 8'')
-6'' inline fan with carbon flter
-Dehumidifier keeping relative humidity between %60 and %70
-Medium for mothers: Mo'Koko 10 gallon buckets
-Medium for cuttings: Rock wool starter cubes
-Temperature controlled between 70c at night and 80c during the day


****** After successfully controlling a near 'perfect' environment and having clones ready all between 6'' and 8'' tall they will be moved into the following:

Flower room:
-8 by 10 grow tent
- 2 1000w HPS with Cool Tubes (Fresh air from outside vented thru them and then expelled with a 6'' inline fan)
-12/12 light schedule
-8'' inline fan with inline filter
- 2 4' by 4' flood and drain tables with 36 6'' Mesh buckets filled with Pebbles per table
- Clones will be going into flower room staggered every 4 weeks so a harvest is ready every "month" (my friend knows its not exactly a MONTH)
- Dehumidifier in this room keeping relative humidity between %30 and %40
- Temperature in room kept between 70c at night and 85c during the day


Now that you undertands my friends setup and "knowledge" here are the two questions my friend is trying to get advice for:


1. What is the best strain for high yield and short flower period for a lollipop SOG?
2. With this Setup is it "realistic" for my friend to get 1lb a month on the low end?


My friend would really appreciate the help and he hopes that this wasnt a vague enough question for you.

Blue Dream is a high yielder, forgiving, potent, popular... but the flower time is between 63 and 70 days. It will give you the yield you're looking for though.

1 pound per month is definitely doable with that set up

Is Blue dream good for single Kola SOG? And would the added week of flowing increase yield to make it worth it?

Do you think 1g per watt based on my friends setup is double? Would 2lbs per 1000 be ASKING too much?

In my signature there's a link to my grow journal which is 9 single cola Blue Dream under a 1000 watt HPS light vegged for 4 weeks. I don't think your friend or any other novice grower will consistently pull over .75 per watt never less 1 gram per watt. With that said, it's definitely possible under near perfect conditions. Your temps are too high, you want drop your temps to below 75f, unless you're running Co2. Even at 1/2 g per light, 2 lights will give you just under a pound a month at .75 you'll hit almost a pound and a half a month. This is based on a 9 week flower. 1 gram per watt is pro status... Anything over a 1/2 gram for a novice grower is very good. By the way, in an 8X10 tent, you could fit another light and a third table, easily.

My friend would be happy with 1/2g per watt. He was thinking of adding two more tables and lights along with CO2. Thats the set up he has right now and with the fruits of his labour upgrading is the plan.

You want at least a 10 degree drop in temps during your dark hours... Fahrenheit that is.

BLZ BIGBUD, probably the biggest yielding strain possible colas so big they fall over and break stems.
