Exhausting out my dryer duct, would it work?

Hey guys. So my room that's housing all my plants has a washer and dryer in it. They are, however, built in. I can't remove it and use the dryer vent to exhaust through.

Here's the question. If I sealed the opening of the dryer and had ducting venting hot air inside the dryer, would it go out the dryer vent? Pretty much I just need to know if even if the dryer is off, would hot air inside still exhaust the same way or is it made to work so it can only exhaust with the dryer running?

Thanks for your time guys

doubt it would work, the dryer is not built airtight so a fan in front of the opening will force air out all the cracks & back into the room.
even built in,it must have a way to remove it.

is there any way to go to the back of the dryer and just cut the pipe at the dryer and put a 90degree elbow on it. i assume your not going to use this dryer.
