Ethos Collective "Chem OG"......

Next up is one of Ethos's newest strains, Ethos Chem OG RBx1, basically their Colorado Chem X OG Kush. Another high THC strain at 30%, heavy yielder, with pine and gas smell with hints of lemon.

I've started right back up while the Member Berry continues to dry, and you'll see the seed packaging with description and a pic of the empty room, which I rarely show. The lights and shields have been thoroughly cleaned, the room has a new tarp and everything has been sprayed down with a combo of Floramite and Avid to kill any mites or eggs, although I didn't see any last crop. Pots have been washed and sprayed also. Only the 2nd crop with these lights so they were not changed.

Seeds have been started by way of the paper towel method, and I expect to have them in the pro-mix by tomorrow evening.

I will be staking this crop rather early this time, I've just grown tired of ripping the rooms apart to stake everything mid way thru flowering. I'm a slow learner. Unfortunately, pic's won't be as nice with stakes everywhere. I'm guessing these will end up around 4.5-5 ft.

Been thinking about the last ChemDawg I've done and couldn't think of one. The OG Kushes were easy, The OG #18, Kosher Kush, Holy Grail Kush, Lemon OG Kush.............all RP or DNA. The HGK remains one of my top favorite strains, it's just smells like no other- a 10/10 on the stink meter. I'll need to go to seedfinder.eu and look up the ChemDog strain to find any hybrids I remember. Maybe a Sannie or Reeferman strain from way back???

So for a review: 4 gallons pots with Pro-Mix, perlight and dolomitic lime, mixed well. Fertilize with the Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Veg and Bloom, Cal/Mag from a couple of different companies, G.H. Floralicious, Flying Skull Z7 (enzyme). G.H. up and down pH. This is normally all I use. At times, I'll add some Botanicare Sweet, or molasses. Not much else, but it does show you can get good results keeping it simple and somewhat reasonable price-wise. All under two 1000 watt HP's. I only use r.o. water. I will also use a bud booster around week 5 when it's available but I go with a very light doses. Always 24 plants at a time, but when I open another room I usually add 12 more.

I grow in my basement, which I finished off when I had the house built. Their was an out-cove which was perfect, the area is around 12 X 10, but my grow space is about 6 X 8. I have 2 other similar rooms I can also use but prefer them to be used as storage (so does the wife). And, my electric bills range from around $260 (winter)- $525 (summer) depending on the time of year- the house is a nice size, around 4300 sq. ft.

I use iPower bulbs and ballasts. And a simple tri-meter for water temp/ppm/ph. I'll take a pic in the morning of the 2 inch sprouts- how exciting!

I've always got fastest plant growth by getting a root ball started before putting them in big pots I use party cups first then go to 4 gallon. But I'm not criticizing just curious.

I guess I could start them in cups, under a florescent light and transplant them down the road..........but Bodyne is right on. This is so simple....the only downfall I can think of is I'm running some extra electricity. Look at some of my other grows, the plants take off fast and there's no chance of damaging the plants or slowing them down caused by the transplant. And no hardening off the plants with the light switch- I'll be up to 100% lighting in less than a week.

when you run a smaller tent and have to transplant once or twice to get to flower time, I aspire to have a room and pots and lights like you have. On another note I was blessed with some Ethos OG, I believe and I must say, very nice OG mulekick. To keep with the Ethos thread.

Yup, busy with things. Oldest and best friend of 40+ years died this week of a massive stroke at 57 years old. Add that to Breeders Cup horse stuff and daughters birthday, things have been crazy.

Day 23 in veg today, all is well. Another 5-7 days I expect to switch to flower. I did go too light with the Cal/Mag and most of the plants started to taco a bit. I did a foliar spray twice in the week of Cal/Mag (15 ml/gallon). But things are returning to normal.

Day 26 in veg, another couple of days until flowering. I rearranged the room this morning, spread everything out and gave everything a PureCrop1 spraying. Other than a slight Cal/Mag deficiency (I've bumped up Cal/Mag to 10 ml /gallon), I'm happy with the plants. The main stems seems very sturdy and will be able to handle solid weight and there will be enough bud sights I don't feel any pinching is necessary. Also a bit of a "kushy" stink going on and I already have Big Blue at high gear fighting it off.
