Energy companies

This is a very important question and im sure 1 that many people have pondered over, basically im running around 4000 watts of light, im worried that the suppliers may notice the sudden hike from non-existent usage almost a month ago, so are energy companies rats, do they inform police of suspicious energy usage, I mean they are getting paid after all it would be their loss, im aware that energy companies have to meet a target set by ofgem to catch out bypassed electricity, and whenever there is a raid, Scottish power engineers are alongside police to be able to safely dismantle electrics, so there is a degree of cooperation, im considering changing my energy supplier next month, what do u guys suggest, btw, just wanna say this is the best forum out there ive learned loads and there are less bigots than other forums, thanks peeps please help

If you have a platter style meter watch for them to install a smart meter.

Where it's still illegal to grow the poco employees get a significant reward for reporting grows.

Meter readers can smell so don't help them out any.

So, poco sees odd usage and they suspect bad meter. They change to a smart meter and detect odor and meter logs a 12/12 usage. Then the law gets notified and they dig for more to get a warrant.

Had a homey go down for 20 thanks to poco doing that. His shit was out in the middle of a big ass property. He didn't care about odor. Wasn't thinking the meter man had a brain. I kept telling him that's not good.

His lawyer got discovery papers, meter man got $10k after the bust for tip.

its winter, scotland is cold and a portable heat radiator can use over 2000W of power when turned on.
How much energy you can use in the end it all depends if you live in a house or an appartment and also the size of the place in question.

i think its more likely that the electric company contacts you to confirm that you started using more energy because when the energy consumption jumps drastically its usually due to someone stealing your electricity.. For example running computer servers or growing corals in saltwater aquariums spends a lot of energy.

other thing i can say is to always pay your bill in time. a heavy consumer = a good costumer for them so i seriously doubt that they would turn you in or for that matter even tip the police.

Good thinking about the whole winter idea although it's getting close to summer so you have a problem in your plot

You could always run your 12/12 on different cycles. Example run two at night and two in the day.. Constant 2000w running at all times
