Elicent 636 CFM Inline Fan - Is it a good choice for my grow room?

My grow room is 3.5' x 3.5' x 8', which is about 12 square feet, and about 100 cubic feet. My plan is to run a 600 watt super HPS light throughout vegging and flowering. The ballast will be located outside the grow room.

I have 3 passive intake vents near the floor, each of which is 12" x 6". And I have a window air conditioner that blows cool air in the direction of the intake vents.

My plan is to use an Elicent 8" inline fan, rated at 636 CFM. Is this a good choice? Is it adequate, or too high in CFM?

Does anyone know if the Elicent inline fans come with mounting brackets?

Ahh... found your ventilation stats

If you're running that big a fan, I would recommend the 1K HPS light. You can pull a majority of the heat out with a DIY cooltube. Now is this fan going to be sucking through a carbon filter? If so, also factor that that will take some CFM #'s from you. That fan size is a good choice though for your room size. I have no experience with "Elicent" so Im not sure if it's noisy or if noise is even a problem for you.

Thanks for the reply. Quietness is a major factor for me, since my bed is right next to my grow room. And Elicent inline fans have a good reputation for being pretty quiet. But they cost about $280 or more. If it weren't for the fact that I need quiet fan operation, I would opt for a cheaper (but good quality) Vortex 6" inline fan.

I do not plan to use any kind of filter. Well, I guess I do, sort of. I am placing black panty hose over my intake vents in order to block out light from the outside. But all they will filter is mosquitos.

Also, would you expound on what you mean by a Do It Yourself cooltube? Im a beginner at growing MJ.

sorry for waking up this old thread, but based on reading here the vortex are louder then the elient? which would cool 4 1k hps or 3 1k hps and 1k mh in a 7x5x8 plan to add (if needed or if i benefit) ac dehumidifier co2
