Anyone use a ecoplus classic 6" inline fan for any length of time without troubles? Anyone have problems with them? I use to use cheapo booster fans but would only get a few months out of them before they quit working...

Comparing these to Active air 6" inline fans. I have had one for over 3 years running 24/7 without any problems, wondering if I could cut corners... I need one fan for a carbon filter and another to cool a light. How well do these ecoplus fans pull? I hear the noise is suppose to be about the same, I will use a fan speed controller, insulated ducts and a muffler.

all the fans run good difference in fan blade design, electronics location, and housing materials is what makes up the quality of a fan. electronics inside fan are susceptible to heat and humidity thus lowers life span, metal housing is louder than plastic but offer more protection, fan blades made of metal are stronger and do not break as easy but plastic are lightweight and easier on the motor increasing life. its all about preference i have an ecoplus 4 in bought used have been running it for a year now and its still going strong. can fan is top of the line plastic housing plastic fan blade and protected electrical components thus why they go for so much. i think the ecoplus motor is exposed but not the electrical connetions
