ebb and flow table size

I am in the process of building my dedicated grow room in the basement bedroom which measures 12' x 12' with 7' ceiling for the flower room and a 3 x 5' closet for veg.

I decided to use ebb and flow trays/reservoirs. Now the question is what size of res should I go with. Originally I was thinking two 3x3 trays, but that was until I saw the 4 x 8' trays at the hydro shop. Now that footprint is right to the limits of my grow room with leaving me 3 feet on either side and only 2' on the ends of the table to walk around. The main advantage to the larger tray would be having only one 70 gallon reservoir rather than two for the 3 x 3 trays. I plan on growing 12 large plants and maybe expand to more plants down the road so it would be nice to get the right equipment now and not worry about expanding equipment later. I also plan on running two 1000W HPS air cooled lights for flower.

With all your experience out there do you think that I should go with the large 4 x 8' footprint or two 3 x 3' trays?

Can I use one 70 gallon reservoir and 2 3x3' trays?

Well now I am just talking to myself. I can go back to the hydro shop and discuss this with him... no responses here.
