Hi all just a quick question. I'm looking at a new tent setup and I'm thinking about going LED. Has anyone bought one off eBay with the 4 LED panels and the cfl I think light and all the other bits and pieces. I just want to know if anyone here has bought one and used it to grow or have you just bought it and replaced the led panels with a new one? Some advice would be great as I'm looking at seeing up with as little power usage and heat as possible and possibly put it in my bedroom cupboard? Cheers
I would avoid that at all cost. It looks like a noob trap to me, offering up a buncha stuff yet they didn't even bother to explain specifics like, wattage of the lights, CFM of the fan/can or much of anything else. Plus your still gonna need your buckets medium Nutes and etc.
The tent is 100 x 100x 200cm. That's over 3'x3'x6'. That's well over a 9' square footprint. Is your cupboard even large enough? That's a large tent. The LEDs look like those cheap 1watt per or less jobs that you could probably get for under $100. 1 CFL will cover over 9 square feet? I don't think so. I would consider flouro
Tubes for that much space. That's enough tent for 9 plants in fairly big containers. Are you gonna grow that many? It also sounds like you would need 1000 watts of light to effectively cover that much area, HID or LED.
MAN. I would just say you need to figure out how many plants you can afford to and want to grow at a time and buy a tent to suit that size and plan your set up. That set up is overpriced and I think you could actually set up a 9' square foot grow for the $550 they charge with a cheap 1000 HPS($200), 4" fan/can(100), 3x3 tent(100, and some cheap dollar store clip ons(12 each). You even got money left over to go towards pots, medium and NUTES and maybe other stuff. Gonna get hot in there and you will use more electric.
I dunno. Bottom line I would not buy that set up. Best of luck.
