Easy SUPERSOIL mix for Autos -

I was viewing several posts on seedling problems and figured I would share a little trick for getting your girls up and running. I use this on AUTOS but it can also be used for PHOTOS , just monitor in the later weeks to see if soil appears to exhaust and a small feeding is required during bloom stages. Especially when running long Sativas and such ( week 12 and beyond ).

This uses FFOF ocean forest , Light Warrior , Happy Frog Fruit and Flower
Container I used is 3 gallon Smart Pot.

By using light warrior ( seed starter ) at upper level of pot , drops the possibility of BURNING OR KILLING the fragile new seedling. THIS MIX REQUIRES NO FEEDING - ONLY PH WATER.

1. Line lower bottom of pot ( 1/3 ) with FFOF / PERLITE . MIX THOROUGHLY.
About 2 1/2 - 3" depth - ADD 3 tablespoons of happy frog fertilizer.
Mix thoroughly then lightly mist with PH water ( I use bottled water )
Mist ONLY to lightly dampen -----

2. Add Light warrior mix on top to layer at about 2 " - 3 " ( mist lightly )

3. Cover this with FFOF at another 2-3"

4. Add top layer of light warrior to finish ( mist lightly )
Then plant seed .....

This mix doesn't require feedings of nutes ( some strains may be heavy feeders ) , I only water.

The key to this .... Is that the internal misting will activate the soil and create the damp condition needed. There is NO REASON at this point to saturate the whole container , just let the plant grow out . I foliar spray once a week AFTER seedling sprouted. I haven't had to do any regular watering up to week 2-3. ( NOTE : this can be different if your grow room is extra hot or dry. ) I run no more than 77 degrees and it is getting to 68 at night so heavy moisture isn't necessary.

Happy harvest :weed:

Good read!

I do almost the same process, and will most likely adopt some things from this.

I use peat cups filled with light warrior, buried in the pot. I like to think it helps the roots ball, but I don't really like the extra peat in the mix.

Yeah I never got on the PEAT BANDWAGON ( to each their own ) , but to me I like the idea of Seed to Soil ( no transplanting , no baby containers , no humidity domes ) , you know the Keep it Simple idea.

To me as root ball gets bigger and ( hungrier ) it will hit that lower " treasure trove " of SUPERSOIL at base around the time of age it would utilize the most out of it.
