I started spraying a lower branch on 8/17 with GA3 200 ppm for 9 days before I took off for burning man. When I got back the plant had exploded and was hitting the top of the tent I was growing in. The branch I had sprayed is a tall as the top now, I think the leaves died on the upper half of the sprayed branch because they got to close to the light. I'm not sure how to interpret what is going on as far as whether it is developing pollen sacs or if I just created some sort of mutant. Flowers seem to be developing fine on the rest of the plant as well as her sister. I have also included a pic from the lower part of the sprayed branch. Can people help me interpret these pictures? Are you currently feeding them bloom nutes? Most advertised finish times are usually early depending on pheno. Most autos I've ran usually don't take that long to flower, so you might even cut it close to the 90 days finish time. I'd give it another month and see how it looks from there. I've found I can usually fix the finishing times by when I choose to switch to the bloom nutes, I used to switch when plant started throwing pistils, the yield would suffer greatly but I could usually finish alot earlier. I now wait until the plant finishes all vertical growth, to maximize yields, but it usually takes a few weeks longer.

last one i did i miscalculated the amount of gibb and mule'd my plant out every calyx had stretch between it >.<
ga-3 will move through the plant at a rate of 1 inch a day
at a application of 9 days i think it would be safe to call that enough to make a mutant
it also stops lateral root growth at around that dosage
But and there is a but
i read a study that showed success with spraying buds 3 days before harvest with 10 ppm
to up thc and cbd levels/ trich production

it gave me a headache reading it
and had to use wiki to figure out half the shit they're talking about but
what i gathered from the way its used on other crops and from this study
its usually used 3 days before harvest
cucumbers, pumpkins and stuff like that
i think it was 10 ppm if i remember correctly
and this was a vegetative study specimens were sprayed
with different levels and tested
looking back on it 10 ppm was what i came up with
that i was going to try because 10 ppm is used on the stem of fruit bearing plants 3-5 days before harvest to almost double size
and i was figuring auto's take less nutes so i figured it would take less gibb to get the desired effects just a theory

Thanks for that, it is pretty heady stuff and I'm not sure I'll ever be educated enough to understand the difference between sesquiterpenes and tree sesquiterpenes 
It talks a lot about the difference between 100 and 50 uM - which from what you've said is the difference between 10 ppm and 5 ppm. I have to say that that is a really small amount of the stuff.
Have you ever read anything that would point to any dangers of using GA3?

its commonly used a few days before harvest in commercial vegetables
from what ive read almost everyone consumes it
and the msds shows little danger unless you're going to eat a oz of gibb in one sitting it appears to be safe
its already found in plants and used alot more then you would think rice production ,fruit's,
its how they make seedless grapes

Actually after reading the study this not beyond experimenting by the average person. However truly understanding the study is reserved for those with higher education. I was confused by what I read.
This was simple straight forward easy to understand. Or was it, simple and easy to understand? I quickly scanned the report for and answer but apparently missed it. The experiment in this study was clearly done at harvest. However the study was suppose to be, as its titled;
The paragraph preceeding the harvest time spraying clearly indicates they were being sprayed in veg.
Am I just missing something here? These are back to back paragraphs on page 2. Did they harvest preflowering plants that were basically still in veg? If so, his or her findings are somewhat useless since nobody harvests cannabis at such an early stage unless all they want is leaves.
