E.C. and Nutrient dilution?

Hello everyone.

I am curious who has experience with E.C.; I have done a little research, and understand the basics. However, if I am adding R.O. water to reduce the E.C., then am I also not my nutrients below the proper strength? Or, is that the idea? Because, it clearly shows a cause and effect in its execution.

Do you have an EC stick?
Take "x" amount of your water say 10L measure the EC and PH and your nutrients measure PH and EC
Depending on medium hydro/coco whatever PH should be between 5.8-6.3 and EC for Veg should be 1.2 and as the plant gets closer to flower raise that up to 2 for flower. Most nutrients come with chart etc too

Adding RO will reduce nute strength and EC.
Whether or not it reduces it below proper or desired strength depends on the starting strength and the amount of RO added.

Yes, I do have a E.C. meter.
I will start testing my nutes soon and ask more questions as they arise until I fully understand. Thanks for your assistance.

Take "x" amount of your water say 10L measure the EC and PH ****then add*** your nutrients re measure PH and EC

***re read my post****

I understand what you are saying, but the post does not tell me what to do if I add my nutrients, then measure the E.C., and the E.C. is too high or too low. This is the specific which I am trying to address.

I can imagine if my E.C. is too high, and that if I add RO water that I have less nutrients and lower E.C. I can imagine maybe having to add 0.5 gallons to adjust a high E.C., then my ratio is different from the directions on the bottle, because I used 5.5 gallons of water instead of 5.0 gallons. This is the point which this posts address. Nobody has answered this question. I hope to learn what to do in this particular instance.
