HEY PEPS ,NEW TO THE BOARD AND NEED SOME ADVISE ON MY DWC. THIS IS WAT I HAVE
1 5 GALLON B/BUCKET
1 60 GALLON AIR PUMP
2 3'' AIR STONES
ROCKWOOL CUBES
WHITE DECORATIVE STONES TO HOLD CUBES
where i live the water is very hard and i am using a PH neutalizer to send it down and baking soda to up.i have noticed that when i adjusted the PH and started the stones ,it would considerably frot through the net pot ,stones and even the cover.anyone has any advise why it froting over?

hey any 1 on, i figure it might be some thing simple.the bucket is just filled with water no nutes.is it the stones,the ph+,baking soda or a combination.any help most welcome.new to the HYDROPONICS stuff.

if your saying that your water is foaming up,I would have to think there is something in it what was in the buckets before you got them,and also you might get better answers in the hydro section of this site. good luck

thanks for a reply SNOCAT,yep its foaming up,i tought it would be that and switched the bucket,did not get as much,do u think i should rinse the stones and if so with what.

It is probably a reaction between the acid in the PH down, and the baking soda.
Try mixing a small amount of your PH down, and baking soda on a plate and see what happens.
