Dwc problems

This is a ph related question,
I've used flood n drain table with gh nutes and never adjusted the ph or even looked at it with having great success.

Now I switched to Dwc and I've read ph is most important? I ran it at 5.8 let it swing to 6.3 over 3 or 4 days but they looked horrible and hadn't grown much in the first week I barely had roots coming out.

Now I mixed up a new batch and didn't adjust the ph wich was 7.2
They have been sitting in that mix for 20 hours and they seem to look a lot better and ph has gone to 7.6.

Using cyco a +b
Zyme
85l/min air pump
Water chiller at 19-20
2x600w

I thought it was weird cyco had such a high ph when mixed. 7.2
But when I mix gh nutes it comes out at 6.3

So is ph really bloody worth it all the old time growers I know say dont worry about ph

What's your other parameters temp humidity ect ect

Nighttime temp for them is 27, when the lights turn on sits 31-33 because it' so hot outside, humidity I dont adjust or worry about at the moment its 15% humidity it has caused me problems in the past having high humidity with bugs and clogging carbon filters so I stopped.

Not saying high humidity is bad for the plants just my room in general.

Are the roots in water and doing well?

Veg really does like a higher humidity like 50-70

Temp is on the verg of being high so if you cant lower it bump your feed levle down a little to compensate for more water uptake.

Ph is important but so is environment even more so

Since i dropped the water level from touching the bottom of the pot to 1cm away it looks like roots are coming out alot more.

I just had a look at the roots and got a bit of a shock, yesterday they were white and clean looking, ph was 6.1

Now they look brownish and almost burnt at the tip very very thin, ph is 7.7

Im starting to think ph is important.
And maybe water temp at 18 would be better.

Could I just drop some ph down into the res and let it circulate or better to pump out my mix and ph down it separate from the root system if that makes sense.

If your meter was accurate your plants would be fine. Your meter is probably playing tricks on you. 5.8 to 6.3 should be almost perfect. My girls seem to tolerate wide swings 5 to 7 with no problems.

On the side I also got 1 plant in dwc no chiller, haven't changed the water since veg just keep topping it up, and adding nutes every 3 weeks, never adjusted ph but I checked it and thats at 5.6..... with gh base and cyco additives.

I have a strip test kit and a pen I'm fairly sure I'm getting a good reading.

I think that cyco grow base doesn't have a ph buffer like gh and advanced nutrients does.

That's why when I mix it, it stays the same ph as my tap water.

Overall not happy with cyco grow hopefully there bloom will impress me.
