HI RIU,

Im new to the whole DWC/Hydro thing. I have a few soil grows under my belt but I wanna roll wit big dogs and step my game up. So Im goin HYDRO.

I starting a DWC grow with a 13"deep res from Hydrofarm. The res is 30"X30". I plan on using several 2" net pots to hold my girls.

My question is when I fill up my res how high should the water be?
Should the water make contact with the net pot or should it be a bit lower to leave some room for air under the net pot?

Thanks in advance guys.
And Ill give all useful answers a REP.

Depends how far along your plants are. keep it high to the net pots untill the roots pop. then leave a couple inches from the netcup so they can breath. if its up to the cup they will drown

What this guy said.. Get a PH & PPM meter or combo if you can... Also keep in mind that your reservoir should be 100% lightproof and your reservoir temps should be 65 to 68 degrees.... And if your plants are in the seedling stage you can bring the water level very close to the bottom of the net pot. after they grow some in vegetative state you can lower the water level down.
