For the last 8 years I have used canna nutes in coco with great results. Now I have switched to dutch pro and I have to say the results so far are much better than canna. Faster growth so could veg for less time am now in day 8 flowering and plants are great lots of flowering points fast blooming all around alot bigger and healthier.

I am using canna A&b on my first coco grow but having alot of problems with slow growth and burning leaves, i think my ec was too high, my plant thats about ready for flower was getting 1.3 ec and it burned my leaves again so i just flushed and tryd an ec of 1.0 unless things get better i will be back to soil, i keep my ph at 5.8

rather than feed too heavy i was thinking of just very light feedings and see if that would work cause if i follow the canna chart my leaves burn

If you have any tips i am all ears

How old are they? Canna is very high in nitrogen due to it only having one mix for both veg and flowering. Are your leaves curling under? A pic says a thousand words.

Tips curling up and appearing burned is mag defficiency, dark leaves with tips curling under is nitrogen overfert. Yellowy brown burned tips is just plain overfertilizing. To cure mag def get some cal-mag or Epsom salts, to cure nitrogen overfert flush plants with ph water until symptoms are gone. For just plain overfertilizing flush medium once or twice with ph water then lower your ec/ppm by about 100ppm or 0.2ec.

Slow growth in veg sounds like overfert imo. I had exactly the same problems when I first started to use canna. I was feeding every 6 day's and flushing with ph water the last day. That seemed to solve my problem.

Heres a few pics id say it is over fert, i am doing coco hempy and feed everyday to keep water in the res at the bottom of the pots. i use calmag at half strength so i dont think its a calmag problem

Shit mate just realized u said u were at 1.3 ec that is a bit low. U have probably ran into a defficiency not overfertilizing. On cannas chart it says use 15-25 a+b per 10 litres if I'm not mistaken? Are you using 15-25 of both a+b or using 7.5 of a and same of b? U should be at between 1.5 and 1.8 ec. U should use full amount of both a+b. Are u using cannas additives?

Hey bud, could you throw up a couple pictures showing the difference between your canna coco plants and your dutch pro plants, with explinations as to why you like it better. I am very close to buying my complete indoor setup.

I make 2 liter bottle of food and i use 1ml of calmag (half strength) and canna boost, then canna A&B equal parts which is about 3-4ml of each A&B to 2 liters of water to bring it to an ec of about 1.2

Nitrogen overdose mate jus looked at pics. Red stems and tips curling down. Back off with the cal mag a bit mag is what helps the plant take up more nitrogen only use cal-mag if u run into a defficiency u dont need it otherwise. If ur plants tips start curling up then that is mag def then u use cal-mag.

Do you use ro water
My tap water is from a well on my property not council water and its a little high on the ec front about 0.25 so i filter it and it comes out at 0.13 thats kinda why i add just a little calmag each time to prevent problems but maybe ill back off it abit, yeah man my ec should be higher but it burns if i do so trying to keep it low for now, what ec would you give that girl right now after a flush? i just tryd 1.0 cause 1.3 burns bad

Buy dutch pro a+b bloom. Use 3.5ml per litre of a+b. U will definitely notice a big difference. Or keep flushing every week.
