If everyone had the same personality then that might work. I have noticed that there are folks that just kinda bust the door down and start handing out advice and there are some that will browse the forums for a couple of months before posting. Some times they start growing first or at least start plannning before they ever post.
I've seen them develop a trust level with different folks in our forum and arguments about something as basic as lights. I agree that sometimes it seems to get a little repetative. But I think its necessary if we wnt to help as many folks as we can.

yeah i agree with an mod. personality has nothing to do with proven tecknique and good advice. i like to help and am more knoledegable having read posts myself but i cant keep browsing and posting the same answers

Then don't answer as many. someone else can pick up the slack. And while personality may not have any thing to do with facts it does have something to do with how well you can listen. Sometimes the way you say something speaks so loudly I can't hear the words.

go through all the topics and make the best threads sticky. i didnt get much help from the stickys that are there. they should cover everything needed. when i try to search things nothing comes up i have found using google to search for pages on this site is easier than searching on the site. and asking my own questions is a bit easier than trying to find a post with the exact question you want answered. i havint really found many threads that help me unless the person is in the exact same position as me and there isint many

I agree that sometimes when searching for an answer with the "search function" you get 20 threads but only one is helpful. If you have to read through hundreds of posts to get a simple answer it may be easier just to post a new thread. With that said it doesn't necessarily make it right, but hell... When I'm stoned I will admit I lose a little ambition to browse for hours.

If you don't like it, ALL you have to do is pass by it! Don't look at it or if you are somewhat curious hold your pointer over to see the first part. I'm sorry but I was under the impression that this site was about people asking questions, giving advice, and posting successful grows. For fucks sake, help someone out!
I think it's BS that people get pissed off at non- experienced growers who ask remedial questions. Help or don't help but don't bitch about it because you think you are above it.
And let's face it, the search feature is not exactly reliable and google will send you to a post made 3-4 years ago.
