*Due to heat which lamp is better?????*

Metal Halide lamps put out more heat,


So my question is as follows for my veg stage to give the best growth,

Is it better to use a Metal Halide 400w

Or my other choice would be a Grolux dual Spectrum 600w

If i could keep the heat down i would use the 600w metal halide, but going by the 400w halide it will probably be too hot for the room.

Hmm. I think you have a misunderstanding about heat. MH lamps put out more heat per lumen The heat produced by a lamp is relative to it's wattage, so a 600W anything puts out 50% more heat than a 400W anything.
