drying??????? inline fan on??

just harvest today i was wondering if it was ok to have the inline fan on running in the room???? while its dry hanging???

The slower you dry it the better. I would probably put them in boxes with a couple holes where air can run through, Just hang them in the box.

yes, you want air movement in the room, just not directly on the hanging plants.

thanks theres no fan in the room just the inline fan thats hook to the filter pulling air out from the room.

i dont know why you would ever want to put them in a box!! lol, wouldnt that just absorb moisture faster? and make your babies taste like box lol

I put mine right into paper bags, and they dont taste like bag... I dont think they absorb odor from things that are cardboard/ not imo

im harvesting on sunday and im going way on friday for the weekend and ill be back on sunday night would it be ok to put them into the dark stages to have them finish up for the days im gone is that to much?

72 hours of darkness should be fine. if you search the site you will see that there are many members of this forum that swear that 72 hours of darkness before harvest helps to produce more trichs and resin.

^^ i cannot confirm or deny that claim, but that is what members of this board claim.

"The Stichting Institute of Medical marijuana (SIMM), the first company to sell marijuana through the pharmacies of Holland, has been investigating the medical possibilities of cannabis, together with TNO laboratories and the University of Leiden.

One of their discoveries has been that to keep the ripe plants in the dark before harvesting could increase their potency.SIMM’s growers separated a crop of mature plants, harvested half of them and kept the other half in absolute darkness for 72 hours before cutting and drying. Analysis of the resulting dried buds showed that some varieties had seen an increase of THC of up to 30%, while CBD and CBN remained the same."

i use fan blowing air out of my drying box then when stem of budz bends without break i start curing with no fan! x)

I usually do 24 hrs dark instead of 12 before harvest. I might try 72, but I want to open them up and check trichs each day.

I dry in my tent with the scrubber on and have zero issues.
