Drying in jars

just dried some of a strain called The Black and never done jars before. I dried it for about a week like ive done for years then put it in a half-gallon glass jar. opened every other day for about a week now to let fresh air in and just noticed the buds are sticky and wet even though they were dry when I put them in. I'm guessing this isnt normal? They smell super good and I dont wanna mess it up so thought I'd ask

Put a small hygrometer in it. More than likely still to wet. I dry to 70% but also freeze. But they will go up after putting the cap on. I dry with a paper towel over them with the lids off.

Get yourself some hygrometers to place in jar. That way you can cure at optimal RH. If wet after a week make sure to inspect for mold. On your air exchange may need to pull them out or leave lid off 2-3hrs. Be checking daily not every other day in first week.

take the bud out of the jar on a tray or record or something for about an hour and put it back in. might have to do that once more in a few days. burp the jars daily too

I’ve got a black amnesia haze growing right now. It’s unfortunately the only real under performer of the 6. Looks frosty but tiny buds compared to the other 3 strains(5plants) I grew/growing. Same exact conditions as the others. There will be some branches I won’t even bother with when I harvest it next 5-6 days.

that's alright I'm always interested in any strain with black in the name haha. Had black kush over a decade ago it was spicey tasting and so amazing. this strain "the black" is really cool the plant can turn almost completely black under the right conditions. Ive noticed it depends on the genetics in each seed though some dont turn color at all and of course cold weather at the last few weeks of budding helps too. https://www.bcbuddepot.com/marijuana-seeds/bc-bud-depot/the-black
