Drying Help

Hello!

Just hung my plant for 9 days in no less than 58 RH and temp and no more than 64 RH and temp - right in that range all 9 days. Stem snapped so i went to work. Got halfway through and some of the stems (i hung the whole plant) started bending vs snapping....

Got it all trimmed and in a jar and put a hygrometer in it and it's holding at 45% RH ........ makes no sense to me though because it was never below 58 RH

Also, smokes real nice lol but it's super sticky so i can't break it up with my hands.

Any ideas why the RH is so low? It doesn't feel dried out, look, smoke like it or anything so no complaints just odd and trying to figure out what maybe i did wrong?!

Sometimes they dry out faster than you realize. No matter the humidity of the room, the buds are still losing moisture. They will get below the ambient humidity. I usually just seal the jar around my mouth, breath in through my nose and breath out slowly into the jar a few times. Then put the lid on quick. The flowers will take back some moisture after a half hour or so. If the humidity drops below %60, do it again. After they are stable where you want them, exchange the air in the jar by taking the lid off for a few minutes. Or use a straw hooked to a fish tank air pump, push the straw to the bottom of the jar and turn the pump on for 30 seconds.

Damn okay, but most of the stems are still wet and not snapping and bending. Is this because I hung the whole plant maybe? And the buds dried faster than the stems?? Should I not hang the whole plant?

I don't hang whole plants any more just for that reason.. I pull all fan leaves then cut and hang individual branches on coat hangers.. It all gets dry at the same time..
