Drying/Curing question

For drying I am planning to hang the buds off a string.

Does the string have to be straight or can I have it hanging at an angle?
Do you start curing once the stems crack in half?
When curing in a glass jar, how long do I need to open it every day?
Does it matter if the jar is all the way full or should I fill each jar halfway for curing?

Thanks for any help, 2nd time grow my first grow didn't cure right.

Ok Ill try to answer all questions.
1. Not sure why angled string wouldnt work.
2. Not til stems break completely in half but once the snap.
3. I open mine 2x daily for 20 minutes.
4. Fill jar about 70% full

Only thing I could see being issue of angled string is if the buds end up laying on each other where mold can form. My tip would be use metal hangers and clothes pins. You can get 6 or more branches on each hanger then hang those of line. Saves a lot of room! Good luck

Also you can buy a Caliber 3 hygrometers for cheap and toss them in your jars. Takes all the guess work outta curing. Also some use boveda silica packs to assist in the cure.

Yeah what trich said. You can use a fan but don't let it blow directly on the bud's. Make sure there's plenty of space between them bud's. And I bought some hydrometers off eBay for 3.25$ each and I put one in every jar. Sometimes you have to pore the bud's out for a hour or two then put them back.

I prefer the paper bag method rather than hanging them.
