I need help I live in Washington State north west end and I have 4 plants that I Cut down and hung them to dry It took me 4 days to finish over 119 branches first one I started on the first of October and finished on the second then started the second one finished it on the 3rd and started the 3rd one and finished on the 4th and finished the 4th one on the fourth I have them hanging in a cool dark shed behind my Garage which is connected by a door to the Garage it is now the 13th and they are still not dry I am starting to worry about mold as the temp in the room is 58 Degrees I have a fan blowing at high not pointed at the plants hanging just under them moving the air around I started with having it on low then a few days later put it on medium and the past few days I moved it to high today I put a heater in there in front of the fan so the fan will push the heat threw the room it is my first time drying the room smells like grass I am just wondering if there is a point to where they can dry too long and what else can I do to insure they don't start getting mold on them any help would be appreciated I hope this gets in the right place for best responses from fellow growers I just signed up with this site and not sure how it all works

Get more fans and theyll dry faster. And if they dry too long and get too dry, theres always bovidas. They will get some moisture back in there, you can also give them a quick water spray when they go into the bag. Or throw in a piece of flour tortilla..

Hi, you could take your fan and have it oscillate to the branches, it would not be full time on the hangings just briefly. This alone will remove the risk of mould and accelerate the dryness.

Some people here on rollitup.org advocate 7 - 10 days, even 2 weeks for drying and say the longer the better. It all depends on your temp and humidity in your drying room and the size of your buds. You mentioned the temp in the room which isn't bad by the way, what is the humidity? And most importantly, how big and dense are your buds? The really big fat colas do run a higher risk of mold because they take so long to dry on the inside. For temp and humidity, you can use a cheap meter from Home Depot like this -

Unlike the advice above, DO NOT over-dry the buds then expect that you can stick a Boveda pack in your curing jar to correct it. Once your buds get TOO dry, they will never cure. The Boveda will help moisten them, but once dried blow 55% RH in your jar, you've killed the beneficial processes that will allow you to cure. However it sounds like over-drying is the least of your concerns at this point.

If your wanting to use the heater put it behind the fan so it pulls away not the way you have it...it will be a little warmer from it then it is now
